RE: Nathan Lee Memorial
I documented the cemetery, in other words I spent many days walking and taking pictures of each stone and loading it to Find A Grave.

RE: Pvt William Blackburn's Grave
I put up the letter the lawyer sent for his fathers claims for money owed to his son. It says he was wounded June 26, 1862 and died from his wounds July 2, 1862. The pay master also stated that he was wounded June 26 and died July 2, 1862. More than likely he was sent to a hospital in Richmond or home where he died. His records are not complete. If you like you can copy the letter I have up on his memorial. If you like I can E Mail you the pay master's letter to. You are right about the dates of the other battles. But that date he was wounded puts him at Mechanicsville, Va.. I got the information from the book 1400 Days The Civil Day by Day by Chris Bishop, Ian Drury and Tony Gibbons and other books.

RE: Rosalia Cemetery
By the way, in the USGS dataset the Rosalia Cemetery is listed both in Spokane and Whitman counties, so it must straddle the border.

Using my USGS search app, I found a "Rosalia Cemetery" in the USGS dataset. Here's the link: . I don't think it's in the Find A Grave data. You can do more searching at .

RE: Rosalia Cemetery
The only cemetery that I'm familiar with there is the IOOF cemetery. . There don't seem to be any Springers in it, though it's very possible that the record has simply not been entered into Find A Grave. There's also a "Riggs Cemetery" according to Find A Grave, but likewise no Springers. . Ditto for the Holy "Rosary Cemetery" . Someone would have to go to these cemeteries and look for the marker for you. I'm not sure if you're allowed to enter photo requests here without being certain of the cemetery, but maybe.

William Settle photos
You are more than welcome. Please give credit to Martha and Daine Harrison for the photos (they are my relation). They had an older photo of his stone in their files before the stone was broken. You can add a link to his Find A Grave memorial.. Just a coincidence, I have been working on his son Felix tonight... just can't find where he is buried. Most of the family trees on ancestry have the wrong death date of 1871. That comes from DAR/SAR applications. His obituary is 1874... I have memorials for most of the children, but would really like to link them all instead of hyperlinks...

RE: L Wilson, Memorial # 81646338
Hi Jim - thank you for your note. The information about his capture at Gettysburg and death at Fort Defiance is actually engraved on his headstone. Richard Jordan added two photos. On the close up, if you click it to enlarge it, you can see (barely) the script that was engraved. How sure are you that this is Lafayette? I would love to put his full name if you are confident this is actually him. Regards, Cheri

Jim, you are most welcome - it was a lovely day to take photos. Beautiful state, Tennessee. I'm still looking for my GrGr Grandfather who was a medical doctor in the Civil War for the South, he lived on a plantation outside of Weldon, NC. I have no doubt his information will turn up soon !!! Enjoy . . Judith

Jim --
Thank you for the correction. Most of the memorials I created in Fairview Cemetery were from an online transcript of burials there, and I truly expected to have some messages regarding errors, etc. When I went back to Rebecca's memorial, I checked the Missouri death certificates, and discovered that the posted date of death was also incorrect -- it was the date she was buried.
Thanks, again.
