In the bio of Effie Ruth Carnes Gearhart you have not listed one of her children. Lena Amy Gearhart was born October 1893 and died in 1972. She was married three times, married names were Glynn, Weeks, Wycoff. She is my grandmother. I have added a findagrave memorial for her.

Catherine Kline Gearhart
Judith, Catherine K. Gearhart is the daughter of Abraham & Charity Kline. They had the sons that are listed on his Findagrave site and one daughter who married the Frenchman who served in the American Revolution as an officer. The documentation for this is from "Pioneers of Northern Columbia County" by Kenneth Yeager. I feel embarrassed that I am not 100% certain of his last name. This marvelous book, very complete for the era, is available from the Columbia County Historical Society in Bloomsburg, PA. If you can be satisfied, I would like very much to have her linked to her parents.

Abraham: 21099070; Charity: 4857477.

Hello Judith,

I am related to Thomas's grandmother, Katherine Baker Haynes. I am a descendant of Katherine's grandparents, Henry Baker and Mary Blake Baker of Isle of Wight County, VA.

Would you please clarify the year in which he died. I can't read the headstone. The memorial says 1861 but the write up below says 1864.

I hope to get back to Rice Lake and Nora some time this summer. When I was there it was getting late and the light was bad so I'll try to get a better picture. I'm very glad to help out.

Alice Anna Sauger Holbrook
I noticed you have quite a bit of info on the Holbrooks. Do you have any information on Alice's parents. I seem to have come to a dead end. I have found a Francious Sauger and a Louise Charpenter that may be her parents, but I can't seem to verify them. Any help would be appreciated.

RE: Thank you/Gilkey
Hello Judith,
You are very welcome. I'm not related to the Churchill or Gilkey families. I'm just one of many Find A Grave volunteers. I mentioned a death date correction for Gilkey, and transfered the memorial page I created for Louise Gilkey, but I wasn't the one who mentioned the Churchill date correction. On your bio page, it looks like a Linda Haynes mentioned a date correction for Churchill to you.

Linda Haynes
Ernest Churchill Find A Grave Memorial# 49496906
Birth: Jul. 18, 1892
Fulton County
Illinois, USA
Death: May 20, 1907
Fulton County
Illinois, USA

The tombstone pictured states date of death is 1965.
The Leonard Hubbard Churchill His Ancestors and Descendants book has his date of death as Nov. 29, 1965.
It also has his date of birth as July 30, 1892.
I was hoping you would correct the date of death.
I do not know which date is correct for his birth.
Thank you.

RE: 2nd wife of William Duncan Gilkey & death date
Hi Judith,
I saw the following you posted to William Duncan Gilkey:
Birth: Oct. 7, 1887
Kansas, USA
Death: Feb. 13, 1967
Butte County
California, USA

As you can see, the year in the section for "Death" doesn't match what your bio says as to his year of death being 1961. I think the 1967 year is just a typo on William's memorial page, and just needs to be corrected to 1961.

Also, you didn't say whether you would like me to transfer the memorial page I created for Louise to you. She isn't related to me in any way, and since she was William's wife, I thought you would like to maintain her memorial too. So if it is okay with you let me know and I'll transfer her to you.

2nd wife of William Duncan Gilkey
I answered a grave marker photo request for William Duncan Gilkey, placed by JD Gilkey. There was a double marker and the wife's name, Louise, was on the marker. Since Louise didn't have a memorial page, I created one for her and uploaded the marker photos. William's memorial page has the photo of him and his "unknown" wife, and Louise is probably the name you are looking for.

If you would like me to transfer Louise's memorial to you to manage/maintain, please contact me.
