I went to the cemetery today. After climbing over the fence, and walking through the mud to the cemetery entrance, I found the entrance blocked by bushes. After pushing my way through, I found waist high and higher vegetation covering the entire area. I braved my way around the first acre, and found only 2 legible stones, neither were ones that you requested a photo for. I recommend you find a local boy scout troop, and suggest they clear the cemetery for Eagle Scout projects.

You're welcome! We were able to photograph half the cemetery yesterday and should be getting the other half done next sunny day, taking care of your four requests (if those stones have survived). Kris

Cora Ziegler
Cora Ziegler is not in the Floyd cemetery. She is in Graceland cemetery. I put up a memorial with pictures of their markers for her and her husband at Graceland.

RE: Headstone hunts
You are welcome! I have to say that the other person you had asked for a photo of, in the Parker Cem in Bozrah CT, Asa Crocker, I don't think his headstone exists, as I could not find it. Just an FYI. irma

Headstone hunts
Hi-when someone finds a gravestone and takes a photo for you, you are supposed to thank them... irma

I completed your photo request for Sophie and Julius Rennert. I went to the location you provided and found a marker for each of them. Also, in the same plot are their daughter Lucile, son Ralph and his wife Laverne Rennert. I uploaded photos of their markers on the appropriate memorials. I also see that another son, Julius O. Rennert and his wife Margaret are in the same cemetery, but I did not find markers for them in the same plot. I will put in a request for locations on them tomorrow and hopefully by the end of the week I will have them taken care of.

A burial location is needed to fill your photo request. The Restland office provides locations ONLY to family members. Please call them at (972) 238-7111 and they will be glad to help you. Although I'm not sure of the exact hours, the Restland office is open Saturday and Sunday.

Alternatively, you could email via their website: Click on the "Contact Us" tab. In the "I am contacting you because:" box, click on "Other".

I (or another volunteer) will be honored to fulfill your request, typically within a day or two. If you created the memorial and prefer to edit the memorial to show the plot location, that would be fine as I check the Restland photo requests regularly as do other volunteers.

Thanks for your assistance.

I found and photographed the stone this afternoon. The shadows were bad and the stone is difficult to read. He is next to Ralph Charles Camp.

Frances, The marker was covered in a hard dry dirt from our recent rains and I did not have my cleaning tools with me, just a normal brush and cloth were not enough to clean it.. I'm going to post the picture I got but will go back out next week after our next few storms are over and clean it and retake a picture. CRob

Milford Cemetery requests
Milford Cemetery old section was surveyed in 1943 and re-surveyed in 2001. There is a map and alphabetical index of all remaining tombstones. This grave is not on the map/index. This does not mean the person is not buried here, but that there is no tombstone remaining. The picture posted is the map/index.

Harden Higgins
I tried to locate a Harden Higgins in the old South Cemetery in Greene, Ohio, but there wasn't one. I checked in a book published by the Greene Historical society and there was no Harden in the South Cemetery or in the Greenlawn Cemetery across the road. Could he be listed under another name? I will try again if you can give me another name.

RE: Eunice
You are very welcome. I love that Old Pawlet Cemetery and spend a lot of time there, just "visiting."

A few days ago, Fay and I finally finished photographing all the stones. It'll take months before I can upload the photos - after I'm back home in California - because we have a lot of other cemeteries on our "to do" list.

Wendy K
Daisy Bassett grave
Last year I went to this cemetery and didn't locate Daisy's grave. I work in Rhinelander and had some time today and went to the library and found the obit for Daisy Mrs. B.O. Bassett born in Houston, Minn and died in Wausau. The obit states she is actually buried in Evergreen Cemetery which is in Woodruff, Oneida County, Wi.
Woodruff/Minocqua border each other.
I noticed someone else put up this memorial. I do not live close to Minocqua otherwise I would go to take the photo so if you want to resubmit the memorial someone may now be able to find this gravestone for you. If you want I can forward the obituary to you send me your e-mail.

Take care Wendy

Thank you "cousin". Yes the Loomis family is far and wide. I live in Northeast Ohio, and come down through the line of Joseph's son John, then his son, John. We made a trip to Connecticut last summer to see all the area where our ancestors lived and died.
