TOM AND MARENE DODSON
Tom,
I doubt you know of me but I lived beside your grandparents for several years. I remember them well. I am writing a book about the Dodson family. Will be over 200 chapters. I have not assigned a Chapter No. for Thomas Eugene Dodson yet but I have gathered a lot of information. I was in your moms wedding and I am hoping that you will be able to get a copy of a wedding photo for my book. I always called them Uncle Tom and Aunt Marene even though Tom was my cousin. The last time I talked to your mom was when she was visiting Mary Lou Moser in Winston-Salem. She talked about you a lot but she really gave me a lot of info. Right now it needs to be put in order. I worked on her sister Betty's chapter yesterday. Afraid that I will not be able to get much on Betty, her children or her first husband. If you answer this I will of course ask for some material for my book but I would like for you to read this chapter before I finalize it.
Thanks,
Jerry L. Dodson

Harry Von Tilzer
Hello Tom.

I just want to let you know how much I appreciate the pictures and info about Harry Von Tilzer. He composed many of my favourite songs. While researching his life, I came across some rare old video footage where he describes the writing of a popular song to the audience. I thought you might be interested in this link.

Again, thank you so much for this wonderful information.

Tom

So good to hear back from you! I am just beginning to work on the Kiger/Mitchell side. The Martin side has been exhausting! ha. And I have over 1200 hits on hints right now, very overwhelming. Some of them are false since folks will grab a name without being sure it is a for sure thing. Sigh....so I have to ferret through it all. Great to hear from you. Maybe one day we can get our fringe family's together for a reunion.

All the best...Jan

Aunt Rene
Hi Tom

I just had a warm moment when I saw the pic of Aunt Rene and Uncle Tom. TY for sharing it. I am the granddaughter of Faye Mitchell Kiger and Rene's great niece. I remember her well, all those cookies and tea she gave us in Ogburn Station. I am working on our tree and appreciate all your hard work as well. All the best...Jan

Thanks again for taking the great photo of Doc Bushong's and his family's tombstone.

Would it be OK if I used the photo for a web article I'm writing about him?

Thanks, tony

RE: Anna May Anderson
Thanks for the reply. I was looking specifically for information on Anna May Anderson, but it turns out that she is not the family member I'm looking for. St. Michael's cemetery doesn't respond to emails :(

Thanks anyway.

Do you still have the picture of her gravestone from St. Michaels? Or any other Andersons? My mother's family is buried there and we have no information other than names and which cemetery!
