|PJH / Angelbird||RE: Earhart, Sacramento City Cemetery|
Hi - I can't remember what my concern was. I'm guessing you sent a edit? I don't see it in my reject listing though. Refresh my mind and I'll okay as I've used historical books before. Thanks. Phyllis

|Joyyj ||RE: Persis Young Hunt|
Thanks, but this isn't her. I have records of her from Census. She did remarry and had 1 more child and is buried in Union Ridge Cemetery in Chicago where more of our family is buried.
She and Dan Young came out to Illinois from New Hampshire with one child. They had 3 more children before he died. These people had a hard and often sad life.
Funny, we never hear of anyone named Persis but it was quite popular in their day. She even had a granddaughter named after her.

|Deborah C||Birth Date for Walter Brown|
I was wondering if you had a source for the birth date of Walter Brown, Memorial #33853991. You have listed 1 Aug 1807. (I have a copy of a page from an old family book (probably a Bible) that has his birth listed as 29 July 1807.) Not sure which is correct. Thought maybe you could help. Thanks a bunch!

|Bonnie McMillin||RE: Gipson Rexstrew|
Ya, I don't know a lot about all that "once removed" stuff...lol My sister can rattle it all off. I was wondering the same thing about the Elwood name coming from Ireland. My Elwood's come from Germany. However, those who came from Germany sailed by way of either the islands of England or Ireland. I believe that many probably took root, in either place, until they could afford to said on to America. A lot of genealogists I have run into, searching my Elwood line, want to be very clear that we are from England although when they made their way to America they were part of the Dutch reformed Church, which is German. My ancestors who came by way of Canada said they were of German decent. Canadian census records were so wonderful giving so much more information. So happy to meet you and I would love to come across something that Gipson signed...that would be wonderful. I like the name Gipson, it is unique.

|Bonnie McMillin||Gipson Rexstrew|
Just wondering where the records are that state his name was Gipson instead of Gibson? I have never seen it spelled with a "p". I am not saying you are wrong I am just curious to know where you get it from. His marriage record, census records, death records all state that it is spelled with a "b" and not a "p". Gibson's father, Elwood Rexstrew, Had a brother named Foster. Foster had a son named Henry Elwood Rexstrew and Henry was my grandmother's father. Also, if you have any idea where the "Elwood" name comes from I would love to know. Elwood is my maiden name and my mother always wondered if there was any connection.

I've been working a lot with the Garringers since they are related to the Lesters, so I guess it might be easier to update the memorials if I had access. Thanks! Sharon

Thank you for the offer to transfer. Yes, I will take Emeline Mumford Williams 61511357, John E. Williams 61511421, and W. Raymond Williams 61511489 in Fairview cemetery, Annawan. She is part of my Mumford line. I think you transfered Mumfords to me before. Thank you very much, I appreciate it.
The Fairview cemetery is a neat little church cemetery out in the country. We wandered around there this week taking photos and saw a lot of neat old stones. Finally found Emeline & family!
Happy Hunting & Thank you, kathy

Hi, Lisa. Came across your entry (158047306) for William Smith. I am a descendant and am, of course, interested in all information I can get about him. Do you mind if I ask where you got his marriage date? I have about four dates and can't decide which one is even close to the right one. Thanks so much! -Erin
