If you find a post that I have made that has an error and would like me to make a change, I will be happy to do so IF:

1. it is a request......I'm too damned old to take orders.

2. it is made politely and courteously - I don't work for you!

3. there is sufficient info for me to correlate that info to the submitter

4. I'm not on findagrave every day, so don't assume that I'm ignoring your request

I've received many pieces of information from numerous people that read "1853 not 1953" or "it's Ethyl not Ethel".

The info that I post comes from people or sources that I deem reliable, however, There could be errors! If you find one, I WANT to change it, but I won't, just because YOU say so. Without substantive proof that you have info that is MORE reliable than I already have will NOT cause a change to happen.

A lot of what I have posted as come from books, and "public records", etc. Therefore, I am only the poster and the information could be wrong. If it is about your grandmother, I would assume that you would know more than some generic source.

Keep in mind....I probably don't know your relatives, so to chastise me for making an error in a posting is not only rude, but offensive.

Bottom line. Civility and courtesy will result in civility and courtesy.

Being uncivil and discourteous will probably get you a good ol' southern "cussing out" and I will ignore any further communication from you.

I'm sorry to be so forthright..............No I'm not. It is what it is!
