Stephen Hasty and Mary Ross
You have solved part of a mystery for me! I see that you list Mary Ross as wife 1 for Stephen Hasty. I knew there was a first wife but not the name. Do you have any documents that state this as well? I am applying for DAR and they need some type of documentation for this. I have a newspaper 1947 article on the Faulk Baptist Church regarding its history and it states that Stephen's first wife is buried there as one of the first which is how I knew there was another wife, but have not been able to find anything other than that. Would the church have records?
Thank you for any assistance you can lend.
Continue the good work!

James Hamilton 6th Earl of Abercorn
You made something nice for me so here's some more for you. Look at James Hamilton, 79481756. Look at the Flowers.

The 7th Earl was the
Grand Master of the Premier
Grand Lodge of England
1725–1726

The 8th Earl died without issue so this title devolved by special remainder, with his other titles, upon his nephew John, son of his brother John.

The 9th Earl also became the 1st Marquess of Abercorn.

Later, there were several Dukes of Abercorn. The play in the linage of Diana, Princess of Wales.

How much more would you like. My favorite Science Fiction computer is Mycroft Holmes in Robert Heinlein's "The Moon Is a Harsh Mistress" He is explaining about the area in North America call Wyoming to a woman named Wyoming Knott. When told that he had said enough, he replied that he had several hours more at Speech Speed. I have several hours more on this, the linage of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, at Speech Speed. Want more?

Just sent some automated edits for your memorial. Two successive generations of men with that name had been combined into one. Hope all is well.

Roscoe Family
Mrs. A. I. Carroll-Zimmer, my name is Ronnie Craig Roscoe and I was born in Cheraw, South -Carolina in Sept. 1955. I am retired police officer from the Cheraw Police Dept. and the Chesterfield County Sheriff’s Office. As I reach the age of 60 and time flying by, I find this emptiness of trying to trace my family roots to find out who and where my origin began. As I began this process, I came across your post on http://www.findagrave.com where you left a picture of flowers in loving remembrance to James Riley Roscoe and Anzilla Gulledge Roscoe who are my great grandparents. Their oldest son William E. Roscoe and his wife Jemima Rosenell (Brock) Roscoe are the parents of my dad Olin Boyd Roscoe dob 08/10-22 / dod 05/09/1992 (Cheraw) and my mother Shirley Roscoe who is still alive and living in Cheraw. As I noticed in the history listed on http://www.findagrave.com I saw where my great, great, grandparents are Oliver Roscoe and Caroline Steen however I have no known former addresses, DOB, DOD, nor any siblings. I do not know for sure, but I believe your connection to the Roscoe family tree, is either through my great grandfather, James Riley Roscoe (1856 - 1923) or my great grandmother Anzilla Gulledge Roscoe (1867 - 1952). However, I was hoping that you might have other important information that would help me as I continue my journey of tracking my family linage.

Fowlers Cemetery
Hi,
I recently came across your interments at Fowler's graveyard and all of the interments are already posted under Old's Fowler cemetery. Find A Grave has already merged the two cemeteries. I photographed the markers (with permission) and posted them in 2010. It is located on my parent's neighbor's property in the woods. It is called Old Fowler's, but you know how often these old cemeteries are called different names.
I was wondering if Find A Grave can merge all of your information with the original memorials. You obviously worked very hard on them and it seems that there would be a way for them to do this without you losing all of that work.

Tracy

Mt. Moriah Cemetery
An open air meeting will be held at the site of the old Mount Moriah Church, inside Anderson County Park, at 11:00 on Sunday March 22nd. Nestled in a wooded area, overlooking the Clinch River
channel of Norris Reservoir, the church site is situated at a high elevation just below the forks of the Clinch and Powell Rivers. Few graves remain in the cemetery that surrounds the site of the old church as most were moved by TVA when the Norris Lake was formed. Mt. Moriah, the first church in what is now Anderson County, was established in 1800 by Revolutionary War veteran Henry Ridenour. Over the years his descendants have multiplied and the Ridenour name continues to be common in the area. Unimaginable as it may seem to some today the modern community of Murrayville and the depopulated communities of Agee, Mount Moriah and Walnut Grove were fairly close to each other before the water rose behind the dam. An old fashion camp meeting style service is planned at the site consecrated in prayer by the pioneers and successive generations. Local historian Joe Stephens, a direct descendant of Revolutionary War Veteran Henry Ridenour will be presenting a historical program. Readers with roots in the vicinity of the forks, anyone interested in local history, and those who would like to participate an old fashion outdoor meeting are encouraged to attend. For more info contact Joe Stephens at JoeStephens10@hotmail.com

Hi,
I just wanted you to know that somehow the Ingram Family Cemetery was duplicated and you created several duplicate memorials in the duplicate cemetery. Now that the two cemeteries have been merged I have sent you SAC's on the duplicates.

Hasty/Brigstock Memorials
Hello again,
Just checked this morning. There are 2 Salem United Methodist Churches in Prince George County, VA., one in Burrowsville with 66 memorials and one located at 19312 Templeton Road, Prince George County, Virginia. The Salem United Methodist Church site located in Dinwiddie County, Virginia, is the same church and a duplicate of Salem UMC on Templeton road, Prince George County, Virginia. Carson, Virginia, is split by a railroad track which serves as the county line between Dinwiddie and Prince George Counties. While the Prince George County side receives mail at a Carson address because the post office is located there, they are actually in Prince George County, Virginia. Salem UMC where the Winfred and Lettie Hasty are buried and their daughter Frances Brigstock is located in Prince George County. If you search for the Salem UMC in Prince George County, you will see that there are about 312 memorials and I would suggest that you move your memorials to that location. I am going to ask Find A Grave to merge the 2 sites and delete the Salem UMC site located in Dinwiddie County. I was kin to Lettie Leonard Hasty and Frances Brigstock. A lot of good work you are doing and I am sure that you would want your memorials in the correct location. Thanks again, Wilkie

Hasty/Brigstock Memorials
Just looked at the Salem United Methodist Church site on Find A Grave where you have memorials posted for the above family individuals. You have the correct church cemetery, but the wrong location. The picture of the church is of Salem United Methodist Church located near Carson, Virginia, but in Templeton District, of Prince George County not Dinwiddie. There are about 7 memorials on the site to which you posted your memorial tributes. If you go to the Salem United Methodist Church Cemetery, Prince George County, site, you will see about 312 memorials. Actually, I have the cemetery burial records and the site is totally up to date as far as memorial go. Suggest you move your memorials to the correct site. If you have any questions, let me know. Hasty Family Burials
Hello,
Just to let you know, Lettie Leonard Hasty, Francis Hasty Bridgestock, and Winfred Hasty, husband of Lettie are buried in Salem United Methodist Church Cemetery located in Templeton, Prince George County, Virginia, near Carson, VA.
They are not buried in the Dinwiddie County. There might be a Salem United Methodist Church in Dinwiddie County, VA, but that is not where the above named individuals are buried. I have the book of burials and am quite familiar with Salem United Church Cemetery. You should be able to move your memorials to the proper location. Just go to cemetery lookup and put in Salem United Methodist Church, Prince George County and you will see that Winfred Hasty's memorial is still there along with the picture of the church and cemetery. If you have any further questions about this matter, please do not hesitate to contact me. Thanks, Wilkie
