Duane/Susanna Travers
Back in 2008 I left you a message about a picture of my Grandfathers grave. Since then his wife and my Grandmother Susanna Travers has passed. Is an updated photo of their shared headstone a possibility?

RE: Adonijah Miner
I have a transcription of Adonijah's bible records Unfortunately the bible burned up in a house fire so I can't verify it.
The other children I have besides those linked on Find A Grave are:
Amos buried in Little Mound Cem, Ross Co, Ohio
Andrew buried in Hillside Cem, Franklin Co, Iowa
Elizabeth/Betsey married Ralsamon Philley
Clarissa married Friend Pinney
Hannah married Jacob Row
There may be a second Andrew who was the second child and died young.

Hi, Yes

Adonijah Miner is my 4th Great Grandpa. Yes, Andrew N Miner is his second son. Adonijah and his wife Hannah Barber had 12 children. My 3rd Great grandpa is their 4th child. Thomas Miner.

Not sure what you have on Andrew N Miner. His wife's name was Fanny Dart. They had 10 Children.

The Miner side is my Mother's side of the family.

Are you from the Andrew N Miner line? Let me know. You can contact me direct at

Thanks, Kara

Edith Mary (Williams) Miner

I don't think you provided me with the correct information for Edith Mary (Williams) Miner. Below is the information you provided.

"Edith Mary Williams Miner was born 16 Dec 1910 in Ackley, Franklin, Iowa."

I apologize for those two incomplete previous messages. It is getting late and I am tired :-)

All the best,

Hi, Just wanted to let you know that when I found John's headstone he was to the left of a big Marker w/Gottlieb & Ernestina Jess & Mabel Schultz was to the right of the Jess stone. So I am thinking that Mabel was John's wife & dau. of the Jess's. Just to the right of Mabel is a Herman Jess and next to him I assume his sister Emma Jess Tollas. If you will notice all of the stones are identical. Didn't know if you knew of the Jess name or not so I hope this info helps your research. I entered them all on Find A Grave.Vj

Thank you
This is my fathers grave. We move from the area after he passes away. Mom never did tell us where he was buried.

William Kroll
You're welcome, it was my pleasure.

I found more Krolls in the cemetery and added them as well. There are more but it started to rain really hard, bringing the picture taking to an end for today.

If you are interested in anyone else at Lone Fir in Long Beach, please let me know and it would be an honor to get them for you.

I want to thank you for taking the photo of my Grandfather's headstone. I don't get to that cemetary very often because of the drive, so it is much appreciated.

Sounds good. I also found and took photos of the following:

Una May W. Rine (1887-1950)

Theodore Rine (1859-1944) and Sarah Rine (1866-1949)

John Rine (1909-1978) and Virginia Rine (1912-1993)

Rine and Wade

I uploaded some of the headstones you requested. I'll upload more as I find them. Like Kara, I found several other Rines, including Ray (or Roy) R Rine, 1904 - 1918.

Hey girl!

I went to the Ilwaco Cemetery for you today. There wasn't a keeper out so I spent some time and looked around. I found David and Anna Rine, as well as Sarah and Theodore. I also found your Joseph, Joseph, Nellie and Lois Wade. It is a medium sized cemetery, so I am leaving the others open if anyone closer can get there during the week and talk to the keeper to find the exact plots. Unfortunatly, I am across the river and can't really go during the week. I hope it helps and expect the pictures to be posted by tomorrow.

Thanks for looking. She died young. 22 years old. She wasn't married that long. Perhaps she is buried under her maiden name of Rogahn? Or with her parents. I'm sure she's buried there, because I have an obituary that has the cemetery listed.
