The Virginia Memorial Park cemetery findagrave number 55047817 memorial has pictures of the fathers grave stone (Otis Clearance Marshall, b 1924, d 2003) instead of the son's grave stone.

Hi Thomas, could you provide a transcript of the headstone - the 2nd one that is legible and includes several names?

I have several Leake relatives from the Goochland County, Virginia area. Eliza is the wife of Josiah Leake II - my 2nd cousin 6 x removed.

Best regards to you and thanks in advance.

Photos and Edits
Hello Mr. Daniels, I recently added some photos to some of your memorials at Crewe Cemetery and sent some edits to you for your consideration through Findagrave. I hope all is well your way and you're enjoying the spring weather. Very best regards......

You had posted a memorial tribute in the flowers section for J.S. Floyd 11th FL. on my Find A Grave listing but upon further investigation by David WRight, SCV he rechecked the original records and what we had was correct. He said Gabriel Floyd is another solder who survived the war but J S. Floyd was killed in action 2-5-1865. Would you please then remove the floral tribute info from the memorial so as not to confuse anyone looking for their ancestor? It would be appreciated. thank you SM.

RE: Removed John Henry Daniel and Alice Crawley Pritchett
Thanks for the reply. I do remember Jimmy Daniels. I can still picture how he looked, I think. I understand about following the wrong leads in this genealogy stuff. I am just getting started and have no idea what I am doing. It seems to be a dead end on my father's side past his father and mother's name. Even then, his mother's name is one thing on his marriage certif. and something else on his death certif.
I'm going to do what I can find from home and then go see the Mormons. They have a small church here and will help.
my e-mail is :
I live in Bandon, Oregon - about as far from Virginia as you can get without falling into the ocean.

Fork Union Baptist Church cemeteery
This is not a church cemetery. It is a private family cemetery belonging to the Seay family. There are no Agees buried here. We have an Agee family cemetery, but these Agees are not buried in Fluvanna County. Please remove them from the list.

THomas J. Barker
Hi Tom . I read your description of The Thomas J. Barker memorial. Find A Grave#75151091. You told me that when you took the photo of his T/S that it was overgrown with bushes and the only one there . The site has been cleaned up and there are 3 known memorials there and three unknown.

Your description
Cemetery notes and/or description:
This is a single grave burial place. While it is straight across the road from the Goochland Baptist Church Cemetery, it is shielded from view in the highway by a clump of bushes.

Thanks for your great work Jerry

RE: Alpha G. Ring
Alpha Ring was born on Mar 20 1905 according to the famly bible of his brother Wesley Ring. His parents were Emmett Martin Ring and Jencie Anderson. He was born in Carroll Co. Va. His Father Emmett Martin Ring was a Civil War veteran who passed away around 1910. On the 1910 census Alpha was with Jencie and siblings in the Sulphur Springs District of Carroll Co. In 1920 he is living with a Seay family in Fluvanna Co. and remained with that family thru 1940 census. I spoke with the nephew of Walter Nash Childress who spoke very highly of Alpha. Said he was very lean and athletic with dark skin and a very hard working quiet man. Alpha is mentioned in his mothers obituary in the Galax Gazette Archives. She died in 1952 but his name is listed as Alvin George Ring who lived in Columbia, Va. so they must have kept in touch somehow. I don't know how he got to Fluvanna, Va. His nephew is kinda upset about the Find A Grave info so if you change it will you please let me know so I can send him the new info. If you need verification of this I will send it to you. Bonnie
