Duplications-30360988 and 42344764
Hi Chris. I just received an email from another Stillson researcher. She says there are duplications which they are except one #30360988 has your photo of the tombstone...I think that is probably the best one to save but will need to add the name of the daughter from the other one 42344764...is that easy to do? Let me know your thoughts when you can...thank you.

It is one just for him. As stated in the second email to you I have created another memorial for him with the 2 headstones that I have taken in the cemetery. You can view them there to see what you would like to add or not. :)

The information regarding the marriage to Eldon is incorrect. They were married on 11 Oct 1948 in Cassopolis, Cass, Michigan. Source: Michigan Marriage Records 1867-1952. Louise was Eldon's third wife. There were no children from this marriage. I don't know when they divorced, but he married his fourth and final wife abt 1953. I do have some pictures of them somewhere. If I can be of any further help let me know.

You are welcome Chris but I hope I'm not driving you crazy. One think I've been working on is getting accurate maiden names for the women's memorials. That has always been frustrating for me a a family historian. Thanks for all you do also.

Not related to the Houtkamp/Houtcamps, but I have Knickerbocker's in my family and was looking at the Knickerbocker connection.

You have Peter and Helen Baragar spelled wrong, which makes them hard to find. The last name is BARAGAR not BARAGER

Chris,

You had him in the correct cemetery in New Salem to begin with. Somebody decided to change it. If you don't want to manually change it, I have hopes that Find A Grave will.

Patty McKinley
RE: Edna Pauline (Whitehouse) Gifford
Thanks for the response.

Over the next few days, I'll also be adding edits to get them all linked, where appropriate, parents/kids, husband/wives.

My interest is mostly in the Whitehouses, Pauline's ancestors. She's descended from a guy (James Whitehouse) that came over from England in the 1780's, and landed in south central Kentucky. Pauline is descended from James' oldest son, Thomas Whitehouse (1779-1847). Her Whitehouse branch eventually drifted north, over the state line into southern Indiana. She graduated from DePauw in the mid 1930's, and while she was there, she had met Thomas Gifford, from Chicago. Apparently he became this big time lawyer in Chicago over the next 40 years.

That family seemed to have a fair amount of tragedy. Too bad, they see like nice people.

Oh, and by the way, my Whitehouse branch, in all of this, is from one of James' MIDDLE sons.

Thanks again,
Patty

Hello again...Patrick J. Morrison was married first to #133330128 (Ida Christie Moore) and 2nd to 36629144 Viola Mary Repp Miller Morrison. Viola had no children with Patrick but did have a son Roger Charles Miller. Guess Viola should be listed as a sibling?

Truly appreciate you putting Walter's obituary up. I met both his daughters back in 2000, and all of his great grandkids and great-great grandkids. GREAT family.
