I am not related to the Kirkpatricks. I used to live near the Asbury church and cemetery in Mt. Vernon. You may copy any of my photos as you wish.

RE: Niday pictures
You are welcome. I tried to get the best photo that I could, but the stones are older and hard to see. If I am ever able to find a better way to get the photo I will take the photo and replace the current photo with the better quality.

Thank you for checking. I thought she may not have a stone, since she was living in the hospital.

RE: Charles T. Davis
Hi Lynn,

My Grandmother Maggie Davis Shaffer only had one brother, Arthur Thomas Davis.

Maggie was born Cabell Co. Ona, WVA. an April 07, 1897.

Arthur was born in born December 01, 1899 in Rowan, Ky.

I haven't run across a Charles T. in our line. Parents of Maggie (my paternal grandmother) were
Charles William and Anna Estelle Thompson.

RE: Amelia Caldwell
Did you see the memorial for English Caldwell and Amelia buried in Texas Valley Bapt Church Cemetery in Knox Co? Could they be the ones you're looking for? Interesting story about them in the memorial.

RE: Amelia Caldwell
Last night I came across a tombstone I took a picture of for AMELIAN COLDWELL. It never occurred to me until just now it might be your Amelia Caldwell. I added it to the New Gray Cemetery. Please check and see if its the person you were looking for! Let me know if I need to change the memorial page.

RE: Gordon Wolfe
Yes your right, I thought of the Johnny Cash song, A boy named Sue when I discovered Shirley was a man. We have a lot of men with what I call female names, but 200 years ago, they did it.

Explain stone wall?

Please e-mail me direct:

RE: Gordon Wolfe
Hello, I am not following the Wolfe lineage. My connection is that his John's daughter Shirley married a Gilkey. I go back 1 generation for those who marry into the Gilkey family.

Sorry I can't be of more help.

Do you have a Wolfe Family Tree? You should get a lot of info on Ancestry.

James Chamberlin
How are you connected to him? You have posted a picture of a tombstone that says 1844-1905. I have a James in my family tree for whom I have a birthdate of 1843 and a death date of 1905. I spoke to a woman long ago who said he used to buy her candy when she was little on the day he got his Civil War pension. The James I have had a twin brother.

My email address is if you don't mind replying to that. (He would be my second great grand uncle if the same person.)
