Thank you for approving the link. There should be more siblings linked in the coming weeks as well. If you're interested I have obituary information on John Messinger. I don't think there is a memorial for him as of yet but I need to check some different spellings first.

The photo was taken in the section of the cemetery where little to no headstones exist. All cemetery records are on file at the archieve office. Unfortunately they have not digitized or transcribed the records. I have visited tje archieves once. The records are in 4 different books.

RE: Edits
I'm not sure if they have changed the edit feature. I haven't used it much myself yet. I will get the pictures for David and Esther in the next few days so the Bielefeld family will be complete. (I think I've developed an attachment to the Bielefelds' since I've been working on them!)

RE: Bielefeld's
It took me a long time to learn about edits too, but makes it so wasy. On the edit page if you click on the PROCESS button it will automatically make the changes and save you from doing it on each page.

RE: Bielefeld's
Claudia, I have submitted edits to each memorial for the Bielefeld's. Check your edit tab and they should all be there waiting for your approval. I have maps of each section the family are in and will email those to you once I get back to work.

RE: Bielefeld
Claudia, I will work on that for you. I have taken the photos for all the Bielefeld family at Resthaven except two and I will take those once I find them. I will get maps of the sections from the office too.

RE: Bielefeld, Henry & Marie
Claudia, I have added the marker photo to Arthur's memorial and have deleted the one I set up. I also have transferred all the Bielefeld memorials that I set up to you.

RE: Bielefeld, Henry & Marie
Claudia, my apologies for an error in my previous message. The memorials I added last night were of another family and not Bielefeld. But again, if you would like me to transfer any of the Bielefeld memorials I have added please let me know.

RE: Bielefeld, Henry & Marie
Claudia, I understand your frustration over the memorial. I have send 2 corrections for Marie so far. At least the picture of her in-laws stone was removed and I was able to add the correct one. In Section 12 there are several Bielefeld graves but I have not found one for Lee in that area. I set up 3 more Bielefeld memorials last night. Maybe you could check them and let me know the relationships of them. Also Claudia, since this seems to be your family I will gladly transfer any of the Bielefeld memorials to you if you want them. Just let me know.

RE: Johannes Ritter (d. 1840)
If you're interested in the origin of your Juliana Maria Dorothea Ritter Hillerich's baptismal names, take a look at the memorial I've entered for her aunt, Juliana Dorothea Maria Heimbuchner.

RE: Hillerich connection to Hess
Look up Heß and Heußel in Friedhof Seckmauern, and you'l see how many I'm working at present. Also search for Brohm among my memorials from the search feature on my profile page, and you'll see some leads there too.

RE: Hillerich connection to Hess
I just got home from work and found your info. I've seen all these individuals in the records I'm going through. We'll be adding a lot to that side of your family too. :) The Ostner connection through Albert Hillerich's wife is really interesting. Also the forester and huntsman connection is fascinating. Even the English have what's known as Forest Law, and it was especially prevalent in feudal Germany. Their headquarters in Herrschaft Breuberg appears to be Kastell Worth near Worth-am-Main. In just a week of going through the microfilm I already have two binders and three folders filling up with what I'm trying to keep organized so I can reference back to it. The records from Sandbach from which the parish at Seckmauern was formed haven't even arrived yet. They will also contain Neustadt and other surrounding towns, so we'll be adding a lot.

RE: More Additions
Refresh my memory...don't you have a second connection to Seckmauern through the Hess or Link family? Let me know the details again so I can keep an eye out for them. The Hillerichs and their related families are going to be my dedicated project for some time. I've paid to have the rolls I've ordered left at the Covington library on an indefinite loan. Their relatives are scattered in all the surrounding villages and I have the records coming on many of them. I'll add more as budgeting allows. I'm going to add everyone I can into the Find A Grave data base as I locate their burial records, so we can connect them as their relationships become more evident with evidence. I'm glad I waited on this until my experience with early German records improved as I would have been overwhelmed before. Now it's not nearly as daunting.

If you look up Michael and Friedrich's great-grandfather Georg Albert Hillerich, you'll see I've added more to his lineage.

John Hess, embalmer
Hi Claudia. I have a Hess family from Louisville. Do you know if this John Hess had any connection to the George Hess mortuary in Louisville? It was in operation from about 1837 into the 1920's or 1930's. Also, do you know the exact date in 1837 when Peter and Theresa Hess emigrated? George Hess, mortician arrived from Bleichenbach,Germany in Baltimore 7 Nov, 1837. The manifest indicates destination as Louisville. I am trying to validate a 3rd ggrandfather whose name is also George Hess. He is listed as a 16 year old on the same ship manifest. My name is Carol. Any of this sound familiar? Thanks.
