Memorial 46939518 - Death certificate clearly shows death year as 1921 instead of 1922. What does the tombstone show? Thanks. Lorraine - cousin in Idaho

RE: Mary Lou McNeilly
In regards of Bill Snider & Aunt Maries marriage... it was not discussed in the family. Only that she married a cowboy out in Vegas. The question is not why they got divorced but why they got married in the first place. Young & impulsive is most likely the reason. And for Mary Lou taking on her step-father's surname, it took some time after Marie and Mac were married before the legal adaption by Mac happened.

RE: Mary Lou McNeilly
Cousin Mary Lou... by now you have seen her memorial entry at Mary Lou McNeilly Mackay with pictures of her and her husband Mac and one picture of her as a senior in high school. If you click on that picture you will see it was given to her first cousin Rich, who is my father.
Her mother Marie was my Aunt Marie.

If you click through her family links, you will go back several generations of the Moores, Zolmans and Murphys. As for Mary Lou's mother Marie, she had a brother, Glendon "Uncle Johnny" Moore who lived with Bill Snider and his father Benjamin in Nevada before WWII and after Bill Snider and Marie had divorced. So Uncle Johnny stayed in contact with the Sniders. Unfortunately due to a family dispute, Uncle Johnny didn't stay in contact with his own family back in Farmington, MO {the reason Johnny was living with Bill & Benjamin Snider in the 1930s}
Back to Mary Lou who passed away in 2005, my father is still alive and is the last one of that generation. He can probably recall some Mary Lou stories if you would like. I see you have posted your e-mail address on your profile page. Give a reply and I'll see what he can recall of Mary Lou to your e-mail address. -Marc G.

Marshia..I put her in as Spurgin and noted that spurgeon was an alternate spelling. I tried to find her as spurgin/spurgeon and she did not come up. OK?

Marshia, I have been hunting her parents and can't find them. When the surname goes from "Spurgin" to Spurgeon" it makes connecting hard doesn't it? I don't doubt but that you are right. Where did you find her maiden name? Thanks, Val

Your edit request is a bit confusing. Since you have already added a link between Arlyn and Evelyn, your edit request would result in double links. If you wish me to complete your edit request, you would need to remove the link on Evelyn's memorial. Thanks.

RE: Hettie Malone
Yes, my grandmother was her first cousin. They corresponded frequently, and I read the letters at my grandmother's house. My grandmother and my sister went to a cousin's wedding in California, and they stopped by Sun City to visit Hettie and her sister May, and they stayed overnight. I remember one letter from Hettie saying "It looks like May is goIng to make it to one hundred". As it turns out, she did not. That is all I can think of off the top of my head. I am 64. My mother is 85, she will know more than I do. Call or email if you have any questions. Chapel of the Chimes has an extensive area containing the remains of cremations. I spoke with Michelle, the "caretaker" and she was not able to find anything in their book for him. Is there a possibility that he was buried elsewhere?

Hello Marsha,

Sorry for the very late reply on your requests. Due to lack of time and so many requests it is hard to complete them all in a timely basis. Also I have been off line for a very long time due to personal reasons.

Per your request I have transferred Howard and Lorean Swofford to you.

They don't have an office but the person responsible for the cemetery met me there and with his help and a map of the cemetery I found the grave location. The grave is unmarked. I can post a pic of the unmarked grave if you would like.
