Cole Family
Are you by chance a descendant of Sydney Cole and Charlotte Myers? Via. Aaron Frances Cain and Marium E. Cole?

Don R Haynes
Tadlock Copper Coffin
I do not have any record of where I found that information. I created the memorial in 2009, but can not remember if I found the information then or at a later research date. I think it was a comment that was in a history or family lore on a Family Tree I found while researching Jessie.
I wish I had done a better job of documenting that statement. I remember it seemed unusual and needed to be noted.
Her grave plot is in the name of S B Tadlock, which is probably her uncle Dr Sterling Berrent Tadlock. Her father died in 1902. An older record shows that Sect 5 Blk 2 was sold to two other individuals in about 1906.

Transfer request
Sharon, since O.B. (Brown) Thompson is my uncle, would you mind transferring him to me, so I can do the edits for his memorial? This would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

Transfer request
Sharon, since Celia Brown Thompson is my biological g. aunt, would it be possible to transfer her memorial to my care?
It would mean a lot; and I have several edits for her.

Correction
Also, the William (Mack) Thompson memorial (#110425582) needs the same correction if possible. Thank you for your consideration.

Correction
Sharon, would it be possible to correct Celia Brown Thompson's memorial (#383853227) like you did O.B. Brown's memorial
(#83853275) stating who his correct parents were? It would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Memorial correction
S, thanks again for correcting O.B. Thompson's memorial, per my information, allowing him to be listed with his parents and siblings. He was so special to them and to his wonderful aunt and uncle who reared him.
If I find any more information on my mother's Aunt C and Uncle Mack, I will let you know.

Harmony
Elizabeth Goss Thompson
My name is Harmony Rowland and Betsy's husband Claiborne Thompson was my 3rd grandfather through his son Robert. I was wondering if I could download the picture of Besty and her 2 step-daughters for my Ancestry tree. I was also wondering if you might have any other Thompson pictures or research you might share with me?

Obit shows burial in Candler Church not Hopewell. Also mentions brothers Charley and Albert who are not listed. Are you sure this is correct?

Hi SMH,

I don't know where he is buried, specifically. I did some searching around some cemeteries in St-Joseph-de-Beauce but found nothing. I was a bit pressed for time so I wasn't necessarily thorough so the stone might exist.

Thank you for your work on the Hinsley line and expecially the Tennessee decendants. It was very interesting. If I can help you in Tennessee please feel free to inquire.

You're very welcome. Are you related to the family? Do you know the wherabouts of the daughter, Daisy?

Hi there,

How have you been?
I added 2 photos of Ellen's marker because 1 is easier to read but 1 is more "straight on". Which one do you like better?

Malissa Hinsley Bates transfer
Received your request for a transfer of the memorial. I am sorry but I too am related to her (her husband was my grandfather's brother) so unless you are within the Findagrave transfer guidelines I will be unable to transfer the memorial.

RE: relationship to Thompson's
My relationship is from Mary Jane Wofford Martin and her husband, Jeremiah Mitchell Murphy Martin (my great-grandparents). We are kin to Thompsons only by marriage. Amney Martin Thompson, wife of Thomas J. Thompson was my dad's aunt and my great aunt. Children of Thomas J. Thompson and Amney Martin Thompson were my dad's first cousins. Amney and Ulus J. Martin were brother and sister and Ulus is my grandpa. The Tommy Thompson house was located on Bethel Road near Two Mile Creek Park. Hattie (who never married) wound up in the old homeplace. I remember all of the antiques that were in the house before it burned. Hattie then built a block house on the same site. Her brother Ralph lived next door to her. All of the houses there are now gone and the land was sold for new lake houses. Thompson landing is on the opposite side of the road from where the houses sat. Ralph gave land to Ridgeview Church. That church is the old Silver Shoals school building that once sat at Silver Shoals Church. I live near Bethel Rd on Hwy 369. Our ancestor connection also goes back to William Buck Wofford and Mariah Chumley Wofford, parents of Mary Jane Wofford Martin and Arilla Wofford Edwards.
Amney and your Edwards' ancestor that married George Thompson were first cousins on the Wofford side.

Wanda Hastings
relationship to Thompson's
My great aunt Amney Martin Thompson was married to Thomas J. Thompson.

My great-grandmother, Mary Jane Wofford Martin was the sister of Arilla Wofford Edwards. Two of Arilla's daughters were married to Tommy Thompson's brothers.

Thompson bros
Thomas J Thompson married Amney Martin (daughter of Jeremiah Mitchell Murphy Martin and Mary Jane Wofford Martin).

Mary Jane Wofford Martin was the sister of Arilla Wofford Edwards, wife of Enoch Edwards and mother of the Edwards sisters, who married Benj Thompson (Sallie) and George Thompson (Emily).

That makes two sisters and a cousin marrying into this Thompson family.

I don't remember where it is, but there is a sextant there, usually mowing the grass. He has an index of all the burials and can point it out to you. Good luck.
