RE: James Washington Walker
Was there a family plot? What are some of your family's names and dates of death?

James W Walker
Hi Steve I've been photographing Live Oak Cemetery. I also volunteer doing their computer input. I have found no records of This person. Do you have anymore info on where his remains are located? Do you know who he is buried by?

Steve: As you can see from the photos there was snow on the ground. I did not try to scrape off all the flat stones, so he could very well be there. Someone else may give a try when this spring.

Hi, no not related, just saw it. The info I sent you comes from the Nez Perce county clerk. It is a transcription of their early county deaths.

Thank you for the input Steve. The Iowa Gravestone Project indicates that it is not permissible to copy their photos, so I hope someone will take another for my use.
Best wishes,

RE: Walter & Hazel Lovegren photos
Happy to do this for you. I added all of the Lovegrens that I could find there last evening. The photos weren't the best because it was so sunny and bright out, but I tried to touch them a bit at least so they could be read. Enjoy.

Fleming Bailey Rice
Loved your addition of the tombstone. I have a photo of our common ancestors tombstone in the Campbell Rice Memorial Cemetery at Willard in Carter Co., KY. That would be Campbell Rice and his wife Elizabeth Tatum Bailey. I descend from their son Nelson Tatum Rice who married America Frances Richards and they are buried in this cemetery too. If Fleming is your uncle who are you descended from?

Hi Steve,

Thanks for catching the date. She was married to my cousin Ray Nelson. Wow, I've never come across this situation of both sides of the family wanting to handle the memorial. I can see putting her with her parents, but I also can see having her where she can be be attched to to her husband when the time comes. Contact me thru my email address again (leave me a way to contact you, not publicly)and I'll give you my phone# and see what we can work out. Do you ever see Mike?

Hello Steve,

I am not related to the Faw's. I did do a search though through the online local Library here in Tacoma and they have the obituary newspaper archives of for Mildred, Robert and also a J.C. Faw.

You can order a photo copy of them (i think it's $5 for each) or if you would like I could go down and get a copy of them and send it through email..

Let me know..

RE: J W Walker
I learned while I was there yesterday that there is another older cemetery on the same road. He might be out there as Donnie said that there were Walkers out there. I couldn't get in yesterday because he was alone and couldn't leave the office. He said I could make arrangements to go out another day and I'm waiting to hear from another family before I do. The name of that cemetery is now called "The North Butte Cemetery" and use to be the "Pennington Cemetery". I'll see what I can find out in a few weeks. Take care.

RE: J Walker
What does the "J" stand for? That might help. I understand completely how you feel about finding your ancestors. It a way of honoring them, remembering them and thanking them for what they went through so we can have this wonderful life.

Take care.

RE: J Walker
Hi Steve,

The office was in the middle of being moved. They had several large maps, some very faded that listed the names of the people and their location. They also had a couple of books. It will help to know the year of death. I've helped another family and when I hear back from them I'll take your information back up with me. Live Oak is a very small town north of where I live. Its an easy drive and a nice area. I'll see what I can find and get back to you in a few weeks.
Take care.

J Walker
Hi, I went to the Live Oak Cemetery today and was unable to locate J. Walker. They file their records by death date so if you have it, I will try again. I also wanted you to know that there are several other Walkers buried there and I told pictures of their markers. They were James B Walker, born in TX and died at the age of 70 years old. There is also Fate Walker, born 1891 and died 1945 and his wife Martha Jane Walker born in AL died age 94 on 1 July 1957. Their son Walter Wayne Walker is also next with them. Their is a baby Norma Jean Walker as well. If you want any of these, please let me know.

Take care.
