|George S. Ellington||Ellen Jane Dennard Ellington|
I am trying to figure out what happened to Ellen after she divorced Stephen Benjamin Ellington ( My Great Grandfather's brother) in 1899! Stephen actually died by his own hand in 1899 though his grave marker says 1900! I see Ellen on the 1900 Census then I can not find her and I want to make sure I have my family tree accurate! Please email me firstname.lastname@example.org I have an updated Ellington Cemetery chart to send in for the Newton County Gen Web site!

I made a typo on the marriage to McMakin - 25 Jan 1855 - Benjamin T Suddeth info - please note they married in Milton County, Georgia which later was incorporated into Fulton County, Georgia - not Alabama. The certificates I posted were downloaded from Georgia Virtual Vault - state repository for all vital records.
Thanks for your help. G Frost

|Lance Ellis||Sarah A. Hanna name & info correction.|
Hi, I have pic of original headstone. HEr name was Sarah A. Hanner and not Hanna. Her husband was J. Hanner. The info in cemetery plaque is not correct. I left correct info with Doug Martin at Pace Funeral Home in Cold Springs near cemetery. They never updated it. Patsy Owen may have a book on this cemetery. This cemetery is on steap hill by Camilla Cove subdivision over looking Lake Livingston dam. The pic of headstone was taken by my grandfather.

I don't know if they are accurate but I will leave it as such until someone claims different. If you want I can transfer her to your management.

I just transcribed Ira's obituary and put it on a Wikitree Memorial for him. I'm adding everyone in Rose Hill Cemetery to Wikitree (which, as you might imagine, is a laborious project). You can grab it from there: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Ghent-56 If for some reason you have trouble opening that, let me know.

I think you meant Talbot for Alice M. Talbot , mother of Alice Galbraith, which already has the maiden name added. I am not seeing a newspaper article on either of the memorials? I am missing something? Thanks Pat

Hi again. You have requested the middle name of Talbot be added to Alice's memorial. I am unable to locate any reference to that name. Please let me know the source which I hope to verify so that I can add it. Thanks, Pat

I think the are done now. I ended up naming the boy on the girl's memorial and vise versa. However here are their memorials if you would like to see them.

Thank you so much! A couple of us volunteers try to keep an eye on memorials placed in Mt. Olive Cemetery on FindaGrave. At one time there were quite a few that really belonged in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Lawrence County.
By adding in about the death certificate, this will save another volunteer from looking Mr. Garside up. For some reason he isn't in the county transcription book.
Thank you so much for helping him find his way "home"!!

|John Mallory Land||Mem. #138376439|
Hi – Thank you for adding the memorial and newspaper death notice for Benjamin F. FENNELL (died 1915). I am wondering if you are kin to him in some way? I found that his grave has only an adult-sized brick ledger with no inscription, and I have confirmed his Confederate service (actually in Company E of the 48th Georgia Regiment), so he is eligible to receive a grave marker from the Veterans Administration for his military service. I intend to apply for one (I have obtained several VA grave markers for local individuals in the past), but the application will need to be authorized by someone who is kin to him – however, it doesn’t matter how distant or require documentation. If you are not kin, are you aware of someone who is that I might be able to contact? Thanks again - John

Thanks for your time and diligence toward improving this memorial by adding Jeptha's first name. It is much appreciated.

It is possible. The record I found only has that she died in Lowell and was born in Scotland. (nothing about burial) https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:N7VW-2G9
I'm still curious if there are more headstones on that lot in the cemetery that might be buried. It was a large lot.

Hi Carolyn, I received your edit to link Eben Kimball and his brothers to Mary Dewar Kimball (1810-1869). I have a question in to the person who created her memorial in Scotland. Her death record states she died in Lowell, MA. This is where they all lived. Her sons and husband are buried in the Lowell Cemetery. I asked where she found the info that she was buried in Scotland. I can see no reason why she would be there. (She was born there but nothing states buried there) It is possible her headstone is buried just like Eben and Gilmans were. I might head over to the cemetery one of these days and ask if she is there too. Denise.
