|Michael Jensen||Abby Jane Vorenkamp|
I received an email request for a change in ownership for Abby Jane Vorenkamp. For some reason, I cannot reply to the email, nor does the request show up in my messages. I am more than happy to turn this over to you along with the other 3 Vorenkamp memorials I created. I added the adjacent plots when I took the photo of David's marker a few years ago. It certainly makes sense that someone in the family gives them the proper attention they deserve. I just need your contributor ID# and I will complete the transfer.

Alchin Farm Cemetery
4585 Van Orden Rd.
Webberville, MI 48892
Sexton: David Wheeler
2985 Webberville Rd.
Webberville, MI 48892
Sexton: Paul Shepler
You could call the Sexton of each cemetery and confirm the correct cemetery Richard is buried in.
With a confirmation note in the bio as proof as to the correct cemetery.

I see there are two different cemeteries in the area Webberville and Alchin. You can check the difference with find a grave by clicking on the name of the cemetery.
below is a link to the Webberville cemetery.
below is link to the Alchin cemetery.

Yes the other memorial can be removed by a merge by find a grave when the memorials match. I have seen it happen often. I have an edit to change the name on the other memorial to match yours, once that happens I can send a notice to find a grave of a duplicate memorial.
Yours was first and will be the one they keep.
If find a grave moves his bio info from the other memorial to your memorial you could edit your brothers name to comply with the rules of find a grave.
I would put a note in his bio about the name of the cemetery being different at one time after we get rid of the other memorial.

|Jeff Phillips||Hattie Hall|
I had some time so I did a little searching, below is what I found in Kalamazoo Co..
Hope this is of some help.
PS, I have found Riverside's records are full of spelling errors.
Verta L. Langdon, below is the plot, which is Riverside / City of Kalamazoo / Section Q / lot / 039 / grave / 05. I think the L you have listed is Verta's middle initial. John is in grave 06. Also Mr. Hall's headstone & marriage record have his name as Irwin. Anytime I run into various spellings I go by the headstone.
Another little tidbit, Hattie & Irwin were married in Kalamazoo Co., not Calhoun. See link, it's the first one on the page.
LANGDON, Verta, L Plot: Riverside CityQ 039,05 Funeral Home: Langeland 07/28/1967

I didn't mean to confuse you, I took a photo of Ruth O'Brien Langdon & was checking to see if it had been submitted & noticed the date of death for John so I thought I had better send you a note. Maybe you can get the person who submitted Verta's photo to add it to the memorial you have for Verta.

Your memorial for Verta Langdon is incorrect.
A photo for Verta has been posted & she died in 1967. John G. Langdon died in 1946 & was born in 1883 according to his hedstone.

|Hilary Andrews||Tricycle photo of William Walling Jr.|
I'm looking for a photograph of William Walling Jr. - the one where he's riding a tricycle. He's my great-grandfather on my mother's side. Anyway, it's a photo I know I've seen on this site before but can't find and was hoping you might know about it. I have his nose and smile, and in that photo you can definitely tell.

Please ask through the edit tab, and use that tab on each page for anything you want. It takes me right to the pages and generates your id number for transfers. It's too time consuming for me getting over 100 edits a day to have to stop and look up each one, so please don't ask on my bio page but use the tools Find a Grave has built into their system. I will feel more kindly disposed if you will do it the proper way.

|Monika Cantrell||Ella Mae Martini|
Just wanted to let you know I added a picture of the headstone for Mr. and Mrs. Martini and created a memorial for Mr. Martini. For some reason he was not listed at Fort Custer National Cemetery yet. Would you like a transfer of his memorial? I am not related.

|Lori Brill McKee Green||RE: Christian headstone|
Marlyn, do you know where she is buried. I have not researched the Brown family but I have a book I can look at from that area if you need me too. contact me directly at firstname.lastname@example.org
Thanks, Lori Brill Green
Hello Lori, I would love to add Jane Christian to list of children for John Christian, but I can only add spouse or parents. If you are the one who made Jane's Memorial you can link John Christian and wife. Does your family know any of the Brown history? John Christian and the Brown family were close in Cayuga County, NY. Tnx Marilyn

|Brandy Gardner||RE: Jim Pruett|
Thank you so much for thinking of me, Marilyn. Yes, I would very much like to have the information. I looked for her for a few years for my Dad, and always felt terrible that I could not find anything beyond 1930 census info before he passed. He really wanted to find her. It would feel nice to finally note her information next to his. Thanks again.

She is quite pretty. I'd love to use the photo on your memorial, for my family trees, if you are okay with that. Thanks!

Thanks, Marilyn. No, I am interested only in Tom and Eunice, but I have Maude in my Family Tree Maker and ancestry.com trees, so I hope you will allow me to use the photo of her on my tree. I see that she lived a long time! Sometimes, it is a banner day, when something great turns up unexpectedly. I have made connections through Find A Grave, that I think I would never have found on ancestry.

|Sandy Vandertol||RE: Edit tab.|
I have all of Barbara From Mich pages, and my name is over the top of hers except when I do a transfer. Then my name disappears and Barbara's name shows as the creator of the page. I don't know anything about her, but I find her work to be very good and well documented. Other people I have gotten pages from seem to be one crayon short of a full box and I'm cleaning up so many messes created by them. This is a full time job! Are there other Browns you want transferred? Just send me requests with the edit tab.

By using the edit tab it takes me right to the page without having to look it up and it also gives me your Find A Grave ID number. Always use the edit tab for everything you want.

|Sandy Vandertol||RE: Vincent Allison Brown 1904-1974.|
If you suspect someone is inactive on Find A Grave, send a message to AJ@findagrave.com. Ask him to check in on someone who is not answering edits and be sure to give that person's ID number as well as your own name and ID. Tell him the name of the page with the ID number you want transferred to yourself if the original contributor is no longer with FindaGrave. I love AJ. He is really great.

|Sandy Vandertol||RE: Vincent Allison Brown|
Ask and you shall receive! Happy to help you out. Please send me edits using the edit tab on each page because I'm wading through a cemetery right now where people are in the wrong cemetery and listed twice and I don't have time to look up everyone you want. Always used the edit tab, and please in the future, never make a duplicate page. Always go to Find A Grave when you have problems but never make a duplicate page. To me that is creating chaos on this site because of the linking getting all screwed up and then someone like me has to come along and spend my time trying to get Find A Grave to merge the files. If someone is keeping up the edits and adding what you want, who cares who owns the page? Eventually all the edits will be done with nothing more to add and then it won't matter who controls it. I try to reserve pages so that in the future a kid can control the page of his parents and not try to get it away from someone who is an aunt or a cousin. People are way too territorial about being in control.

So nice to hear from you Marilyn and if I have any of your family, please just ask for transfers. I spent all day yesterday just sending about 40 requests for duplicates and mergers to FindaGrave so we'll see what will transpire. I have no Browns in my family and I love to put people into the right family groups. I'll keep an eye on my list of duplicates and we can contact again soon. :)
