Max Elmer Neitzel
I would like your permission to download his facial photo and his wife to my genealogy files. I am not directly related but the Neitzel surname ties in with my husband's Gilkison extended family names. I am not concerned about credit for the photo, just want to help others in case they tie in.

You are most welcome. The next time I am there I will try to get someone to go with me and confirm that I did not miss something. Who knows, we might get lucky.

RE: Edgar E Hughes
Thank you Cheryl. That helped a lot. I haven't researched the Holman family so that gave me some data for your side of the family. I have seen your name often and wondered what the connection was.

Happy 4th of July to you, too.

Edgar Earl Hughes
Hi, Cheryl
Just curious as to how you are kin to the Hughes family. Edgar Earl Hughes, Sr. was my husband's 1st cousin 2x removed. My husband's great grandmother was Savanah Odell "Della" (Hughes) Yawn.

Are you working on the Caruthers side of the family or the Stivender side? If its the Caruthers, then we're related.

We are currently working to identify anyone buried in Westlawn-Hillcrest Cemetery Omaha NE that has served in the military. If you have a loved one buried there or know of someone, please send us a message. We place flags on the graves for Memorial Day. This project is sponsored by Centennial Masonic Lodge #326.

Moses & Lucy Kimball
Hi Cheryl, Question would you think Amos #61356762 and Lucy #61356817 would be the parents of Joanna Kimball Vaughn #66467981? I saw a birth record from Vermont with a birth for Joanna Kimball b.7/5/1815 VT. to Amos and Lucy Kimball

I saw your love of lighthouses.

We're from Cincinnati and were in Ireland in May of this year. We stayed in a restored lighthouse in Wicklow, Ireland for three days.

The lighthouse had been replaced twice by newer and more efficient buildings. A non-profit organization in Ireland purchases and renews buildings and rents them out.

Our building was completely refurbished with metal steps inside all the way to the sixth floor (total of 109 steps).

The first floor was an entry way with a small bathroom.
Second - furnished bedroom
Third - Bathtub, shower and toilette
Fourth - furnished bedroom
Fifth - Sitting room with couches, chairs, coffee table and bookshelves
Sixth with kitchen - refrigerator, stove, microwave, table & chairs

Each floor had four large windows some with chairs in the windowsill and others with cushions for looking out or reading.

You could see the sea from three sides and beautiful Irish farm lands from the other.

I bet you would like it.

Peg Eddy
RE: Harvey Elwood Vaughan photo
Hi Cheryl -
I included the picture of the Smith stone, as Inez Vaughan Smith was Harvey's sister. According to census and Vt Vital Records, they were both children of Ransom and Etta Balch Vaughan.
And I just added another photo showing only Harvey's stone. Sorry, I thought I'd done that already but must have gotten distracted. It's the best image I could get of the top and I could not manage to get any angle that would show the inscription on the sides. I could barely read what it said "in person", much less get a photo. If I'm down that way again, I'll see if I can do better.
Thanks for the feedback.
Is Harvey your relative? If so, I'd be happy to transfer his memorial to you - just let me know.
Best regards,
