Charles Lee Nickell and Annie Jensen
I noticed there is a Leonard Nickell listed as a child of their's but there is no Leonard Nickell. I think the mistake occurred when a Don Nickell did the Nickell family history. As he has Leonard listed too. I am a close cousin to Charles and Annie and knew them personally. They had two sets of twins, Clarence and Charles Lee Jr and Clarence died very young. Vernetta had a twin Vern that also died very young. Their surviving granddaughters don't understand how a Leonard Nickell got put into this family. All the Census I have also don't list a Leonard. None of the Nickell's ever mentioned a Leonard. We are wondering how we can omit Leonard from this family info.
Best regards, Karen Van Patten karenvp49@ hotmail.com

RE: Anna Marie Smith
You are kind. Thank you. I just hate when I transfer a memorial and they never add anything more. That has really slowed down my transfers of distant relations. But I promise to add all I know about Aunt Anna....Thanks! Sylvia

I know I sent this as an edit question but I just had no idea Buck had two graves and two headstones. I am the memorial keeper for the other one where I have him linked to his parents. Have you seen this before? Is there a protocol? Sign me Confused!

Dean Heaton
Woops, I got my uncle and my great uncle mixed up. Douglas D. Sparks drowned in a horse trough. His uncle and my great uncle, David Dean Heaton, either died of bronchitis (on his death certificate), or diptheria (family oral history).
On David Dean Heaton's grave, the inscription reads "Sweet Angel Boy! Thou wert not given long here to dwell. From earth's rude blast Thou art safe in heaven 'Tis Well, 'Tis Well." My sister copied it down in the 1970's when it was easier to read. The first name, David, may never have been on his headstone because, on his death certificate, he is listed as Dean (first name), no middle name, and Heaton as the last name. In any case, it is definitely the grave of my uncle. May I have ownership of the site? Sincerely, Judy Ferrari

Dean Heaton
Hello. My name is Judy Ferrari and David Dean Heaton is my uncle who drowned in a horse trough when he was 3 years old. Thank you for this wonderful picture of his headstone. I see that it needs repair. The first name "David" is no longer visible. I wonder if I might have "custody" of this site? My e-mail is teacherferrari@verizon.net. Thank you, famhistrylvr for taking pictures like this for all of us!

Rosa Farris
You may have something here. Rosa and Clara are buried beside each other. I went ahead and linked Rosa to Clara. When I go back to the cemetery I will do some checking up on the two. Won't be able to find where she was born, but can see if they are linked in the cemetery records. Will get back to you next week.

Dean Hirst
Rosa Farris
I'm not sure how I got Canada as her birthplace as I can't find it now. I usually use ancestry.com. I did find her in the California Death Index and I have added her death date and place. Looking back through ancestry this morning I did find a Rosa E Farris born about 1871 in Kentucky in the 1920 census, with a husband of C. Hugh Farris. She lived in Tennessee. Is that your Rosa?

Thanks so much for your reply. You can go to the 'edits' tab on your home page, where you accept/ decline edits sent to you from other members. There you can click on 'Display' drop down menu and click on 'Edits sent to me that I approved'. Then you can scroll down through all your edits to find the edit you approved.

Hope that helps. You don't need to go to that much trouble for me but just in case you need to research something again.

I still can't find a document that confirms Joshua as his father, but I do know that his middle name is Darius. There's a good chance that he belongs in Joshua's family, just nothing (that I can find) to document it. I was hoping you had a death cert or court records. Thanks anyway. If I ever find out anything different I will sent you a note. For right now, I will send his info (what I do know about him from records) via 'edit' tab.

Have a blessed Christmas season,
Sylvia

RE: Kivett relation
My great grandmother was Mollie Elizabeth Kivett, b. 1861, Boonesboro, MO, d.1957 in Independence, MO. She was the d/o John S. Kivett, b. 1883 Randolph County, NC, d.1915 in Boonesboro, MO and Elizabeth McCart. John S. Kivett was the s/o Henry M. (2nd) Kivett, 1788-1880 and Martha/Patty Welborn. Henry M. (2nd) Kivett was the s/o Henry M. (1st) Kivett 1753-1806 and Sarah Aldridge. Henry M. (1st) Kivett was the s/o Peter Kivett, 1726-1794 and Anna Barbary. Peter is one of my Rev War patriots, recognized by the DAR.

A super nice Kivett family historian is Bill Kivett who lives in South Carolina.

An old commercial building owned by a Kivett still stands in Dalton, NE, and there are Kivett gravesites in the Dalton Cemetery. You probably already know that, since I see your name everywhere.
