How are you related
Dean Mr. Todd
I was wondering how you were related to Grover and Winona Todd and the Townsend family. Winona "Winnie" as the family called her was one of my Great-grandmother's sisters. My cousin and I have a lot of information that could update and have additional family links if your are interested or if you would prefer I would be interested in maintaining our family memorials.
Thank you for your time and consideration.

If I've made a mistake, I'll take down the reference to Calvary. Thanks!

Almira Todd
I took a picture of this very touching marker at Calvary Cemetery in Tacoma. I posted it here, and was surprised to see her listed as also in Old Settler's Cemetery. I was there earlier in the day, and did not see this marker. It is definitely at Calvary. What a coincidence. You can find the marker at Calvary, I cannot remember exactly where it was, but I am sure that the office staff can help you.

Your entries in the Coburg IOOF Cemetery
Just a heads up: Someone has created a new Find-A-Grave cemetery and they are calling it "IOOF Cemetery Coburg." This means that they have duplicated everyone's memorials in their newly named cemetery instead of checking first. It looks like they have just entered names from a cemetery list and assumed they were first to discover this historic cemetery. You may want to look at your entries and request that they delete the ones of yours that they duplicated. And please suggest that they combine their entries under the original cemetery name.

I just noticed that you are in CA also. I'm up in Ventura Co.

There is probably a good chance my Todds from NJ were from Ireland. She married into an Irish family of Dillons from PA. I haven't done my maternal side DNA yet. I had my brother do my paternal side earlier this year.

Maybe we'll get lucky and be able to fill in some of the blanks.

Hi Norm,

I did confuse which Thomas you were looking for. In my husband's tree, I have a Thomas Todd but it shows he was born in MD. I have another Thomas Todd in my tree but it looks like he is a lot older than yours. Unfortunately, I don't know who the parent's are of my GGGGG Grandmother, Jane Todd. I'll have to start working on that. Sorry, my Margaret married Michael Dillon was about 50 years later.

Is the Thomas you are looking for the father of John Todd (who is the father of the Thomas I was talking about)? Or is there no connection? I do have quite a few Todds in my tree that I don't have ancestors for. I wonder if any are connected. Maybe you could email me who his children are and I can see what I have. I'm sorry I can't be more help.

RE: Clarinda Story
Hi Norm,

What a small world... Martha Jean is my husband's aunt. She's a wonderful lady. Unfortunately, I haven't had a lot of time to go over the Story family history with her. We live in California and get back about once a year. My husband is from Fleming Co. but I'm a native Californian. We are overdue on our next visit. After we were married, I found out that my family came from Fleming Co. Luckily, I haven't found out that we are related by blood but we do have connections through marriages.

I asked him if he knew Bonnie but he doesn't think he knows her. Do you happen to know who here parents are? How are you connected to the Storys?

Best regards,

RE: Locust Grove Cemetery
I mainly just have the names and some dates for Thomas Todd's siblings and the name and dates of his daughter with Sophronia. I'm not sure how he connects to my tree. My 5th Great Grandmother was Jane Todd but I don't see a connection. I believe she was born in New Jersey.

I also have a 1st cousin 5 times removed that was married to a Margaret Todd. She was the daughter of Robert and Ann Eliza (Parker).

My uncle started the tree I have so I don't know all that is in it. If you are looking for something in particular, let me know and I'll see if I have it.

Clarinda Story
Hi Norm,

Thank you for sponsoring Clarinda's memorial. Are you a close relation? She was the 1st wife of my husband's 2nd Great Grandfather.
