RE: Charles Frey
Jay,

Thanks for the article. I tried several different ways to find the article, but couldn't find it.

Right now I am working with the USS CONSTITUTION museum in clearing up some information on a few commanders of Old Ironsides that conflicts with other websites. I may have to get out my grandfather's set of Encyclopedia Britannica from 1913 to get answers. 30 volumes of leather-bound onion-skin pages in a stack about 6 feet tall. It contains more than 200 pages on the Roman Catholic and Eastern Orthodox Popes, so maybe I have a chance of finding what I am looking for.

Will get back to you after New Years Day.

Thanks for the additional information. Will take some time to digest it all and then put it all on paper with the St. John's Cemetery info. Works a lot better that the back key. Neil has corrected the George Frey info. The problem stems from the names on the headstones at St. Johns.

Not familiar with Jack Gore.

Jay,

I have enlisted the help of Neil Scheidt in trying to get the John and Charles Freys in the Price's Corner area straight. See his messages above yours in my bio page.

Hope your Christmas is merry and you have a happy new year.

Do you have burial info for Catherine & Charles?
Diana is part of Find A Grave but would need memorials for their parents to tie the family together with hyperlinks.

I am going to assume that you want this information added to #21228716 Charles Frey, (b. 1812, d. 1876) at St. John's UCC Cemetery in Pricetown.

In the future, please make these suggestions with the [Edit] button at the top of the "photo" column. It makes it easier to find the correct file, especially when there are two or more people in the same family with the same first name interred in a given cemetery. Thank you.

Jay,

I'll send you the portion in Dutch, and a purported translation, along with the background of why I asked. It may result in relative confirmation of the translation, but having more than one person saying the same translation adds weight.

It involves my maternal ancestor, Bridget White, sole wife and widow of John Robinson (1576-1625), pastor of the 1620 Mayflower Pilgrims at Leiden, Holland. Her will was written by a notary at Leiden in October 1643.

I'm knee deep in some work, so may take me a couple of days to provide.

By the way,

Due to your association with Dutch oriented entities-organizations, do you know of someone versed in old Dutch who can provide me with a literal translation of a small portion of my ancestor's 1643 will of record at Leiden, Holland?
