RE: Cemetery Photo Old James Cemetery
Thank you so much for all you do for Find A Grave. I didn't even know about it until a few months ago and some men at our church does like you and goes out to all the cemeteries and makes pictures for people. I like to go and look for relatives and take pictures and that was why I had the picture of the Old James Cemetery where my family was buried.
Thank you again for all you do and maybe I can help you sometime.

Dear Bwana,
I am writing in reference to #181154068. This is my great grandfather and I had made a picture of the cemetery sign years ago. I added my copy to his page but I can't remove yours. Please look at mine and see if we can use mine on all the cemetery post. Mine looks like it did a long time ago. Since most of these people were buried in the 1800's and early 1900 the picture with the mobile home and septic system dug up is not fitting. You can add your name to my picture if you want but I am adding information on several of my great great grandparents that are buried there. Thanks, Belinda James Holland

Hello Old Bwana!
Thank you so much for replying! I'm thrilled you have the original photo and more info. Nice to meet you, relative :) I just sent an email to you, just look for one from HeatherEgan1
I'm currently in Utah - my mom moved here from New York years ago because she wanted to be in the mountains. I have yet to visit the old family areas in New York but hope to do so in the coming years.

Thanks so much again!

Hello,
Hello,
My name is Heather Barnes Egan. Ann Barker Brochard is my 2nd Great Grandmother. She died of appendicitis when my Grandpa was only 10. You have posted a photo of her here on her memorial, #18695622.
I am so very happy about the photo you posted. Unfortunately we have no photos of her, and so this is the first time any of my grandpa's kids and grandkids have been able to see what she looked like. I am amazed that she looks exactly like my mom! Anyway, I am wondering if you could give me more information on the source of the photo. It looks like it is cropped from a larger photo, and so I am also wondering if you have access to the entire photo. Thank you so much for all of your help. I will be forever thankful to you for posting this photo. It is so amazing to see.
- Heather

RE: Brook Family at Donald Cemetery
I would very much like to see the Confederate memorial ceremony pictures if you would please e-mail them. I will try to send you some of the items about the Brook family sometime in the near future. As I mentioned they are mostly "who visited who" items but are interesting as you can pinpoint an actual time when ancestors were doing certain things.

I had some sort of brain fart when taking the photo for your request. A picture of Mr Fuller's marker was salvaged, but a better one will take its place the next time I'm at Cave Hill.

You are most welcome. I kept Josie Brook McGregor and Emma Peal Brook Wood as I am related to their husbands. I may have some more information to post on them later.

Brook Family at Donald Cemetery
Would you like me to transfer the Brook memorials at Donald Cemetery to you? I am only related by marriage to one of them, Josie Brook. She was married to my great-great uncle, William Jefferson Roberts. W J wrote a community news column for the New Decatur Advertiser newspaper about the Neel area of Morgan County and the Brook family is mentioned in some of the columns that I have copied from the old newspapers. It concerns Brook family members who visited them, etc.

Greetings Old Bwana...Have you run across the grave or know of where it located in the Old Burleson Cemetery? I have a image of tombstone but it is so dirty and needs cleaning that the inscription is unreadable...I would like to clean it but being in Indiana that is a long shot...Randy

William served in the 16 Ala. Int. Co. E CSA

I joined the SCV here in Indiana under him.

Thank you again for the great pictures of my GG-grandparents! My father was especially happy to see them. And thank you for getting good angles of the grave sites. They are always shadow free and clearly show the complete site!

RE: Charles E. Hawkins
Hello Bwana
I noticed that the Hawkins' name dominates many areas of the park. Some of the stones simply carry the initials of the deceased...and nothing more...not even a date. Therefore, the initials might match the name of the person whom you seek but there is no guarantee that it might be that person.
Nonetheless, I shall post whatever I happen to find.
Sorry that your legs will no longer allow you to participate in this labour of love, but all of your "finds" had to have brought smiles to the faces of a lot of strangers seeking loved ones.

Regards,
betty

Mount Zion "Freewell" Baptist Church Cemetery
While working on ancestry, I ran across family buried in this cemetery and noticed a "boo-boo" and thought someone may wish to make a correction. If someone was searching by cemetery name it may not show up.
Should be: Mt. Zion "Free Will" (instead of "Freewell") Baptist Church. Thanks a bunch.

Hovater Cemetery, Franklin County, AL
Hello,

I was wondering if you have any records or access to them of all the burials in the Hovater Cemetery? Do you know if there are any unmarked graves?

Thanks in advance if you can help.

Molly
