|Vince ||Transfer of memorial|
This is Vince Dively #47934810 and I would like to take over the management of Elihu Root Wiestling's memorial #38327025. If you are wondering he was my mother's (Shirley Mae Wiestling)father. My Ancestry tree is 'Family of Vincent Dively III-1'. How is your family tree coming? Can I help? I have documentation to verify most of my tree, so you can consider my tree mostly accurate.

|William Miller||Wiestling - Miller Lineage|
Tracking some of my relatives in GReenwood Cemetery in Whg WV, I found a link from Annie Stewart back thru her parents, father Guy and mother Annie Miller, and her parents were Anne Chapline Miller and a Col William W MIller...if any of this makes sense, then we're related possibly. Wm W was a great great great uncle....see Find a Grave Memorial #53207869
Bill here (yep, another William Miller !)

|Vince ||Wiestling Family Tree|
I made a mistake. I thought you were my cousin Wendy Harley Kindle that I haven't seen in 40 years.
Your name did look very familiar and I just figured out why. You know me as Vince Dively, Mark is my family name.
We never met, however we did corresponded about Katherine 'Kitty' Press though ancestry 2 years ago.
I live in Harrisburg and have easy access to the State Library and Archives so if you need something just ask.
The Wiestling part of my ancestry tree for the first two or three generations, I am absolutely sure that the information that I have is correct. I did the research 40 years ago when my grandfather, Elihu, turned over to me what he had done of the tree, and I found out that my church was the one that our family help found in 1770's.
I later became a deacon of the church and had access to all of the original church records and was able to verify what grandpa had. The Church was Salem German Reform now Salem United Church of Christ. I just can't put the sources into ancestry.

|Vince ||Wiestling Family Tree|
Hi Wendy this is Mark Dively
I was going through my emails from Find-a-Grave because someone turned over management of the Memorials of our family at the Harrisburg Cemetery, and I was updating the family links when I found yours for Joshua Martin Wiestling at Greenwood Cemetery.
If you want you can link Joshua to his parents at Harrisburg, Memorial# 113922325 and 113922623, Jacob G Wiestling and Susannah Herr.
Are you working on a tree for the Wiestlings. I have a lot in my tree at ancestry Family of Vincent Dively III - 1. If you have a tree on ancestry I can share it with you, I have a lot of McClearys too.

|FutureAncestor||Callenders @ Greendale|
Hi again, went to Greendale and found most of the Callenders and some. I added all the ones that previously didn't have a memorial at Find A Grave. Also, there were 3 I could not find: Annie, Robert and Samuel. There is a headstone inside the huge flowering shrub that you will see in each of the photos I attached to the other memorials. I am wondering if that isn't Annie and Robert (if they are husband and wife)?? I could not get to that stone and maybe if I can get my husband to go with me, he could hold the branches back so we could clean it off.
If you are family of the Callenders, you can probably call the cemetery caretaker and have them trim the shrub back for you. I know they have been doing for other people.
Also, some of the memorials have an incorrect section number (some say section 5 and I see the one you added for Robert says that also, but all the ones I found today were in Section 6, Lot 1). I submitted some edits for the ones that were in error.
I added a lot of children to Rev Samuel and Elizabeth. They were all on the tall memorial stone as you will see in each of the photos on their memorial.
Have a great day!

|FutureAncestor||RE: Sarah Metz Wiestling @ Venango|
Wow, great detective work Wendy. I'm not sure when I will be back at Venango Cemetery (maybe even today if time allows me because I will be in that area, sorta). If not, I will unclaim the photo request and allow someone else to claim it. You may want to change her name with the EDIT tab or add a note to her memorial that she is buried with Grove Muckinhaupt.
If I get out there today, I will certainly send you a message that I got the photo for you or if I can't get back out today, one way or another.
Have a great day!!

|FutureAncestor||Sarah Metz Wiestling @ Venango|
Hi Wendy, I went to Venango Cemetery today but did not find a headstone for Sarah. I did find her son John (who I previously took a photo of) and was wondering if she was buried with him on the same lot? I took a general photo of John's headstone and the area surrounding as there is an empty spot to the right of his stone.
I walked the entire section and just could not find her headstone or any other family member by that name besides her son, John.
I added the general photo to John's memorial and a close up of this military metal. Please let me know if you want the general photo added to Sarah's memorial, only if you think she is buried next to her son.

I checked with historical society, and these Franklin and John Solomon Wiestling are named in an inscription on Salome (Youse) Weistling's memorial in Section O, which card was mis-filed and spelled Weistling (not one of the variants, we checked at cemetery, e.g. Westling, Wuestling, &c.!, though we should have).
I will be happy to photograph the memorial for you, so I apologize for cancelling the earlier request. I will try to get back in the next couple weeks.

Both of your request for the Union Baptist Church in Eastville Va. We walked (3 of us) the cemetery and could not find any stones in which you were looking for. I have however posted a pic. of the church and the sign which has the contact info on. There are alot of unmarked graves, which I can send you more pics if you would like, just email me. If you contact the church and find a location (marked or unmarked) I will be glad to travel back for you. Contact me if you wish firstname.lastname@example.org

|TF Lyon||RE: Wiestling|
I could not make out the name of the stone to the left of Edgar and Martha Wiestling, though I was able to lift it so the face was facing the sky instead of the dirt. The stone on the right is just to heavy to be lifted without equipment. This cemetery is well kept, and you might want to contact the office to see if they have further information. I am sorry, I have nothing else on this family.

I was able to find the stone for Irvin and Rhoda Hertzok. I have a couple of corrections that you'll be able to see from the stone.
Irvin's date of death is 11-29-1967
Rhoda's birthdate is 4-8-1889 and date of death is 11-17-1955.

Hi Wendy. Yes I would love to have copies of my parents graves that you took. Do you send them thru email? I dont know how people take pics & put them on a website. Im very new to Find A Grave,& not computer or camera savy. I joined just to search for my ancestors graves,& I found tht a very kind person had made memorials for my parents graves. I left flower & notes. Then got a notice that my parents memorials were transferred to me & tht I would be the "manager". I didnt know what that meant until someone helped me. Since then Ive submitted the info I have on my ancestors so they wont be forgotten & to find family members. I hope Im doing it ok. I live in the next town from you & if you ever want to meet locally or at the cemetary, let me know. And is there other local Find A Grave members? You can email me anytime at email@example.com. I usually check my email unless Im going thru a surgery. S. Wheatley

|Ron||RE: Robert Wiestling|
Wendy - put his memorial and a PR in Riverview Cemetery. I would presume he has a headstone. By the way, I did not see a record of Evelyn at Riverview but will check for that when the weather breaks. There was a record for a Katherine A. Wiestling however. I will proceed to have Presbyterian Church removed from the cemetery list.
Added by Ron on Mar 08, 2012 1:33 PM
Wendy - I'll see if I can find anything more on his place of burial. I have verified that he was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Huntingdon. And I seem to recall he served during the Civil War so may find something more in the local records. Never heard of an affiliation between Riverview and Presbyterian Church, and the Presbyterian Cemetery in Shirleysburg probably became aassociated with the Douglas Cemtery much later.
