RE: Muilenburg
Nancy,

Yes, those Muilenburgs are related. In fact, lots of our family is from that area and are buried around there.

My father sent me a copy of a genealogy that someone in the family put together and it goes back 10 generations. The earliest entry is for a multiple great-grandfather born about 1650.

I am a descendant (great-granddaughter) of CORNELIUS JASPER MUILENBURG, b. March 19, 1875, Pella, Iowa; d. June 27, 1949, Melvin, Iowa.

The "John" you refer to is his brother, JAN JOHN MUILENBURG, b. February 10, 1868, Marion County, Iowa; d. September 26, 1957, Hartley, Iowa.

Beacon Hollow Cemetery
Nancy, I received a photo request for a gentleman who was supposedly buried in Ferguson Cemetery in Lake View. Upon further discussion, it appears that he might have really been buried at Beacon Hollow in Cherokee. Could you tell me who to contact to find out if he is indeed buried in Beacon Hollow Cemetery? Thanks!
Marcia

RE: Muilenburg
My grandmother was Jeane E. Muilenburg Roberts, daughter of Jasper and Nellie Noteboom Muilenburg.

Her siblings were Marie, Cornelius(Dutch), Isabelle, John and Elizabeth(Babe). My father is sending me information he has.

RE: Muilenburg
Nancy,

Thank you for the quick response. There was a John Muilenburg who was Jasper's son. My grandmother was the daughter of Jasper and Nellie.

I will ask my father about the Hartley connection.

Thanks again.

Muilenburg
Nancy,

I am just starting on this ancestry journey. Did a random search for Jasper Muilenburg and your entry came up. Are you related to Jasper? My father was named after him.

Any information you would be willing to share would be appreciated. I really don't know a whole lot about that part of the family.

Blessings,
Pam

Benjamin Franklin H. Luce
Dear Nancy Lawson:
Have you come across a Civil War Tombstone/or record for Benjamin Franklin H. Luce in East Lawn Cemetery?
He is #100193587 in Find A Grave. He was a Wisconsin Union Civil War Veteran and homesteaded in Floyd Twp., O'Brien County, Iowa in 1869. Then left and passed away in Washington State Veterans Home in Retsil, Kitsap Co., WA., 22 Oct. 1916 age 90 years. Not buried in that cemetery or with wife Julia A. Rost Luce in Edmonds Municipal Cemetery, in Edmonds, WA.
WPA Report for O'Brien Co., Iowa has his burial in county but no cemetery listed. Maybe, your local library in Spencer would have some information for me?
Would appreciate any information or suggestions.

This is to request why you put the following instruction on two of my memorials which I created:

"Don't show cemetery photos
on this memorial [?]
Added by: Nancy Lawson"

I cannot find where to remove them.

Sarah Lawson Davis
I noticed that you posted a photo of her marker and as her maiden name was Lawson I wondered if she is related to you in some way. I have very little info on Sarah. She is my grandmother's grandmother. If you have any info I would love to find out what you know. Of course, I know this time of the year is very busy and will understand if you cannot take the time right now.

Roxie Ingram - 26732214
I typed the wrong code for Henry. His father is: William-32022841 NOT Marion. Too many names and numbers and my eyes pick up the wrong line when I am typing!

Thanks,
susan

Roxie Lena Ingram - 26732214
Nancy,

Would it be possible to attach Glen Grover Ingram - 26724447 to his mother Roxie?

I was looking at the photo you took of Henry Ingram - 26724417. Do you think that it might read May instead of Mar and 45 instead of 15? The reason I ask is if the above were true...he would be the child of: Marion - 32022841 and Artamisa - 15399511. He could be the child of the older Henry that I have in my family tree and just have no record of him. There seems to be a number of deaths in this family in 1885...not sure what was happening then.

Thank you for the photos of the Ingram family.

I notice that you have posted Dorthea Mary Hesebeck, John V Hesebeck, Johann Hesebeck.

By chance did you take photo of their headstones.

Dorothea is my great great grandmother sister. I could not believe that I had found them on find a grave since there are not allot of photo from Iowa on find a grave.

If you have the photos it would be great, or if you know someone that can take them. Thanks Erlene
