Do you have a picture of one of the numbered markers? I'm curious as I'm working on a project up at the General N.B. Baker Library in Sutherland and would like to include one with it. My email at the library is email@example.com

I found this article about this ladies death. You may post if you wish.
Article appears in the Abilene Daily Reflector, Abilene, Kansas, Friday, 10 May 1889 reads...
HER LIFELESS FORM
A Husband Finds the Body of His Wife Lying in a Pool of Water - Supposed Murder
Sibely, Iowa, May 10 - Mrs. Carrie Farrell left the home of her husband at seven o'clock Monday morning for a visit to her parents. two miles away. Leaving there at six o'clock that evening she took a diagonal course across the fields to the main road. By this route she was obliged to pass an unfrequented bridge across a slough. She was on horseback and her only encumbrance was a basket of eggs, which she carried in her left hand. Upon leaving her father's house this was the last seen of her alive. Farrell thought nothing strange of her absence during the night, as she was accustomed to remain over night with her relatives. When her horse came home riderless the next morning search was a t once instituted. Lying fave down in a pool of water was the lifeless form of his wife. On the left side of the face, just below the eye, was a deep scar, indicative of s sudden and powerful blow. Other bruises were about the face and shoulders. On the ground, forty rods distant, was the basket of eggs unharmed, another indication that foul play had been done. The matter is being investigated by the entire neighborhood. The deceased was highly respected and it was not known that she had a single enemy.

Nancy, would you add some information to Laura's memorial #20895749? Her full name is Laura Gertrude Lake Guetschow Johnson. She was married to Lawrence A. Guetschow on 23 Nov 1922 in Primghar, O'Brien, Iowa. Her parents are Irvin Lake and Gertrude Stayherst. I don't know anything about her marriage to the Johnson. Thank you so much. Arlene

|Iaed||RE: Duplicate - Rosettie J Hite Myers|
I think the "anonymous" creator of the other memorial may be a contributor who is mostly inactive. I have found that If I make corrections through the edit tab on memorials he/she has created, there rarely is a response, but they get automatically approved by the system after the three-week waiting period. I have made quite a few corrections in this cemetery using that process. You also can ask the administrators to merge the two records--I never do that so I'm not familiar with how successful it is. I have no personal interest in this particular memorial--just noticed the duplicate when I was posting photos. Thanks for your response.

I see that you are the manager of the memorial for Bernice Seivert (20895956). I was wondering if you are a relative to her? If not would it be possible to transfer her memorial to me? Thanks.

|Sandra||RE: Seidel Buchholtz|
Hi Nancy. I only entered info from the cemetery book. But I looked up dates. Seidel was born 5/15/1912 Kossuth County, IA, per Birth & Christening Record. Died 5/24 1959 probably that same county.
You can link him to his father August Dulph Buchholtz - Memorial #26453428, and mother Emma Albertina Gartke, born in Germany - #26453391.
As for Seidel's wife Caroline (Carrie) Eden; I have no info on her. Perhaps the Forest City Library genealogy room has info.
