I have updated the pages for Maude and her husband Charles in Mount Hope Cemetery, Topeka, and have sent copies of the pages to the cemetery office for their files.
Thanks for leaving flowers on their pages.

RE: Nellie Kearns Pence
Hello Linda, I have since learned that we are distant cousins. My grandfather was Glenn Penstone Pence, Sr. I saw that you left a flower and message for him stating that you were a first cousin four times removed. He was married to Nellie Kearns Pence. I am interested in how we are related (what your lineage is). Best, Cheryl Pence Gates

RE: Clara Shoemaker Gerber
Hi Linda(...and Larry)...Thank you for your kind message! I am glad to have made contact with you...My great grandmother, Amanda (Shoemaker) Johnson, was Clara Gerber's sister and the oldest of Mary Ann (Neifert) Shoemaker's children. I am aware of the Faust family connection and have an interesting Faust family historical brochure that you might be interested in seeing. It was made by descendants of Maria Neifert's brother John and was a great find I made years ago. It was given to me by a friend who found it among some papers he bought. Please let me know if you are familiar with the brochure I am referring to, and if not, would you be interested in a copy of it!! Thanks, Samantha Gibbons. My address is 648 East Broad Street Tamaqua, Pa 18252 and phone number is 570-926-5494.

Hello, I see that you left an offering of flowers at the memorial to my grandmother. Thank you. Did you or your family know her? Her life before 1920 is an absolute blank to us so we try to follow up on any little bit of info. Best, Cheryl Pence-Gates

Sharon McIntosh
Oscar D Goss' son Leo Goss
Oscar D Goss was my maternal great grandfather. I am trying to find out what became of his son Leo Orlando Goss born in 1893 in Wert, Ohio. His parents are both buried in Oak Lawn cemetery in Sturgis, Michigan. I have been able to trace Leo Orlando Goss from birth through his divorce from my grandmother Doris Pratt in 1922 and then it is like he just disappeared. If you have any information about him after this date I would greatly appreciate if you would share it with me. I am Sharon L McIntosh (now Petiprin). My mother (Evangalene H. Goss)died in 1993 in Flint, Michigan never knowing what became of her father.
Thank you. I also have an email address which is:,

Elizabeth Harrel Kelley - 17303324
I am not sure this is the same person. I found Elizabeth in the 1880 census, living with her son Joseph and his family in Terre Haute.

It is a terrible cover page for the census, listing their son "Dolph" as head of household.

You actually need to go to the original document, to see all of the household members. She is at the very bottom of the list, with a boarder above her.

I think this is her, buried with the rest of the family, spelling the last name as "Kelly".

Thank you for the note about this ancestor. I have found elsewhere that the date of June 10, 1851, refers to her DOD and not to her DOB. TWWeir.

Chester Charles Adamson

Do you have any information about how CC Adamson died? He is on my family tree because he was married to Marion Haberland, a distant cousin. I was told he was killed in a train accident but I've never found any proof of that.
