Thank you!
Many thanks for fulfilling my photo requests at Evergreen Cemetery! That was truly lightning speed! You also helped clear up the correct spelling of Zipporah Crowell, as her name was spelled differently on almost every record I've found. Thanks for being a volunteer :) RC

Riley headstone
Didn't know you did this work.... so do I. I appreciate you putting on the photos of Maggie and her husband's headstone. Am putting it up on Working on Phil's side of the family right now. Have over 2,000 names on my family tree! Great work!

RE: Schatz gravestones

Thanks for the effort. One other thing, regarding other claimed photo requests. Esther Goldstein is Jacob L Goldstein's wife. They have a dual plot with one headstone. We're not sure Esther's inscription is on the stone. Look for Jacob's stone (picture of it is on his memorial page).

Schatz gravestones
Cory, thanks for the photos of Bernard Schatz' memorial. If you get a chance, can you see if his wife Miriam K Schatz is buried nearby? I assumed it would be a family plot, so I didn't put in a photo request for her. Not 100% certain she is even buried in the same cemetery.

Coolidge photo
Thanks so much for taking the Coolidge photo. You saved me from making a genealogy mistake. I thought this man was married to a relative, but I have the wrong George Coolidge. Nevertheless, I created memorials for the others on the stone and used the photo you took. Thanks for helping me clear up the matter!

Thank you so very much for the photo of his gravestone. I have added his wife's memorial and linked them and requested a photo for her memorial.

Your time and efforts are very much appreciated.
Take care.

Nancy Small
George Small, Jane Small,
Thank you so very much for trying to locate the resting places of my ancestors, John Ulrick, Sally Ulrick, John Ulick Jr, George Small and Jane Small. I have been wanting to visit Portland to try to locate them myself, but have not yet had the opportunity. I can imagine it would be difficult to find. According to they are located in lot I-63. Are there any local maps of the cemetery that show the layout of the cemetery?

I appreciate your help!

oops! Western Cem. Portland, ME
Rev. Clement Phinney, photo request:
I thank you for trying to find the stone. It is appreciated very much. I was hoping it would be legible enough, if found, to identify...Since the condition is such, I'm not surprised.
Very much appreciate your help.
The general problem they reported is:
I searched the entire cemetery and could not find the grave

They also reported, specifically:
I'm sorry to report that the combination of serious vandalism and a general lack of maintenance - resulting in numerous broken, missing, or unreadable stones - makes locating many older graves in this cemetery very difficult.
