Thank you for letting me know about my mistake. Mine should probably be deleted but I'll see if they can be merged.

I saw your flowers on James Gunn's memorial page. He is a direct line 5th great grandfather of my husband and 6th of my children. 🌳💙💜💜I'd love to discuss our genealogy research. Please feel free to leave me a message through this website. Thank you and good luck with your family research!

Find a Grave Volunteer,
I think Margaret E Nye and Jesse A Nye are my 3 times great grand parents they are buried at Wildwood Cemetery in Salem South Dakota.
I am having a hard time finding the documentation to back that up.
Are documents from the burials kept at the cemetery? Or do I contact the county or city archives?

Memorial has been moved and I have requested that the duplicate memorials be merged and the now empty duplicate cemetery be deleted. Thank you for bringing this to my attention.

I was actually looking for several other family members that are sisters to my grandmother but could not find them even though I know they are buried at Hillside. I have all the answers to your questions about my family. I have a public tree up on ancestry for anyone who is interested in my family. Would you have time to find my other family markers? It would really help me with my research.

|L Eriksson||Nadine Oine|
Full obit for Nadine Oine in today's Mpls Star Tribune paper. Says "but the pivotal event in her life was her family residing across the street from the family of karl L Oine who would eventually woo, propose and then mary Nadine in 1960. Nadine's children never tired of the stores of how their parents established a friendship and ultimately fell in love at such a tender age."
It sounds to me that her mother was not a wife of Karl's father.

|L Eriksson||Re: Dorothy Margaret Gehm Oine|
Yes, this is a real doozie. I found her mother and step-father in the censuses - Delphine & Eli DeMars. I put in an edit to tie Dorothy to her mother Delphine who is buried at Hillside.
I also found Oivan's daughter Dorothy b. 1929 and she is Dorothy Milo buried in Strike. I put in an edit to tie her to her parents.
I'm wondering if this Dorothy Margaret Gehm Oine (who married Gregory Helvig and is mother to Nadine) was married to one of Oivan's brothers?
I can't find enough original records to establish the correct relationship.

|L Eriksson||Re: Dorothy Margaret Gehm Oine|
This is a real puzzler. I see you just added a memorial for her daughter Nadine Dorothy Helvig Oine, who is widow of Karl Oine, son of Oivan Oine and his wife Lillian.
Nadine is the daughter of Greg Helvig and Dorothy Margaret Gehm Oine - who you believe was Oivan's first wife. I still can't find any records of a connection between Dorothy and Oivan other than someone's family tree. I've seen too many errors so don't trust that without verification.
Would love to see this figured out.

Thanks for all you do on the Find A Grave site, I appreciate you for assistance you have given me and the transfers of relatives.
I wish the numbers created/managed weren't public, perhaps it would give an incentive to some members to let people have their great greats, their uncles, aunts. It saddens me that my people who once were held in captivity in Virginia, are once again held captive by an excessively numbers queen.
Thanks again, Randy.

I am so sorry for your loss....had you contacted Sari and asked to have the memorial transferred before creating this one?
Yes, I did contact Sari regarding the duplicate and for lack of information. F/G does frown on BU (Burial Unknown) and I know some are caught in the number game refusing a transfer...Such as we have in our area now...3 Memorials on same fallen Officer....which F/G will probably just merge in the future.
I wasn't meaning to sound Rude...and if perceived as such I apologize.. I know many refuse to transfer relative and I understand my greats may have other grands out there but get frustrated when they are NOT related but copy word for word an article I wrote, they found in a book re: my person. Again, so sorry ...so sad...so young of a beauty...Blessings

I thought the location was strange myself. When I looked at Mr. Scott's obituary on the Badger Funeral Home web site, that was the address given for the burial location. The following is on the web site:
Bills Bury Cemetery
199 Burnt Schoolhouse Rd.
Creston, NC, 28615

Hi Randy, I linked the parents, but if you want the obit posted, I will transfer avis to you, as I'm no longer posting obit w/ photo. obits are supposed to be edited removing names of the living and permission needed, I decided it just wasn't worth the hassel anymore from the busy bodies. Send me the link if interested.

I see you have left a flower on my g-g-g-grandparents' graves, with a note that they are the same to you. (Makes us 4th cousins, by the way.) I also see that your line is through James and Ursula's son Abisha James. His older sister, Nancy Jane Gunn Story, was my g-g-grandmother.
I always look forward to contacting "new" cousins, so please get in touch. My e-mail is on my contributor page.
