Tombstone is not correct
Should read John Burt, spelled with a "u";
Birth year was 1918, not 1916. Photo of mother (Clara) hand written notation in family bible as source, picture of information available on request

James Tolly
I obtained this material from the Union Predestinarian Baptist Church and Tolly Cemetery. Flat Branch Twp., Shelby Co, ILLinois. Compiled from church records by Marian Simcox Wooters, Findlay, Illinois, March 1967. Received from Elder Robert Webb, Primitive Baptist Church Archivist and Family History Research Assistance website in Carthage, IL. It doesn't state how these people are related, just that they are members of this particular church.
TOLLY Surname = James Tolly, Sr.; Winny Tolly; Caroline Tolly; Elizabeth Tolly Huhle (d. Dec. 1957); Effie Tolly Allen; Jane Tolly, James Tolly, Jr., Laura Tolly, Lucinda Tolly, Maga E. (Margaret?) Tolly, Mary Tolly, Mary E. Tolly (d. Jun 1919), Sam Tolly (d. Dec. 21, 1942), Samuel TOLLY (d. Jan. 21, 1879).

RE: Demaris Bourland
These kinds of things add confusion for researchers. I have ran across ones like this in my family too. One additional note, the Demaris that is buried in Vandalia - her stone says she is the wife of A. Bourland.

RE: Demaris Bourland
You have her in Watson Cemetery, along with Andrew. Someone else has Andrew as being in Old State too, however, I didn't find his stone. I noticed that your wife is also researching Freeman, there are several in Old State.

Demaris Bourland
is buried in Old State Cemetery in Vandalia, IL. I recently photographed all legible stones there & found her. I added a memorial for her, along with the photo this morning.

Rhodes
I maintain a lineage of Ninian Steele (as early on a fellow researcher had my dale family connected to the Steele and Futhey Lines.) I had done so much work compiling the various lines together I have just kept it as a part of my database. Anyhow... I have only managed to add the photos of Lafayette Rhodes, Martha Bean Rhodes and Richard Yates... but I see you have more on the Rhodes... maybe I will get a chance to add them in the future. A bit of my data came from Dick and Pat Rhodes who sent me their work a few years ago.

Your Photo Submissions
First I want to thank you for all your contributions to Find A Grave. It's people like you that make the site a wonderful resource for so many!

I've kinda put the cart before the horse and uploaded all the headstone photos I've collected over the years from Find A Grave onto my non-commercial family tree website, and just realized it would be common courtesy to ask the Find A Grave submitter permission to do this. So now I am asking, and please forgive me for not thinking of it before uploading them to my site. Your photos will be credited to your name and sourced from Find A Grave.

Kind regards,
Shanan M. Anderson
