Dear Mr Busby,
My name is Joe Owen and I am currently do log research about Hood's Brigade in the early part of the Civil War.
Dr. F.L. Parker was one of the soldiers on the brigade. With your permission I would like to use the photo you have of him for the book. I need it to be at 1000ppi or better in a tiff file. If you are not the owner, do you know who I should contact to see who is?

I look forward to hearing from you.

Hugh Edward Phillips Jr
Again, good work on being so thorough!! . He was Hugh Edward Phillips and his father was just Hugh Phillips. Doesn't that make him not a Jr.?

Hugh Phillips
thank you for putting so much info on his site and thank you for NOT giving this Hugh the middle name of Edward; that was his son Hugh's middle name, whom I am descensed from. One request. It would be great if you could clarify at the beginning that the story of him coming from Kendall, Eng. is a story without any primary source evidence.

Several of us have been researching Hugh for more than 4 decades. WE are not participating in DNA studies which include Americans and British and hope to uncover Hugh's English past. This project can be followed on the FTDNA's Phillips project and is open to any male who wants to participate.

Regards, Carol Phillips Mciver

Ok so you have some information about the Busbys. i dont have a lot past Miles...i do have that his father was Philip Busby and mother was Nancy(?). i dont have any brother or sister information....Its funny to me that we know where some of Miles and Prudence sons are buried that died during the civil war but we can not find the father and mother...If no one can find the graves how do we know they are unmarked?....Since i have been doing my family tree, i have found out how rich in confederate history my family is....i cherish these findings and i am so proud to be a part of this family and a southerner.

RE: James
Alford James is my father and Alford Blyze was my grandfather who lived across the road from your aunt.... Aunt Nadine and my uncle Arther my fathers brother. Aunt Nadines mother married my grandfather Alford so in turn she and Uncle Arther were step brother and sister. A little family history for you. Also in my Great Grandfather x 5 is John Colter, a very famous Mountain man and hunter for the Lewis and Clark Expedition. There are monuments in at least four states in memory of him.

How are you? I am very well living in Washington State my lifes career is Horticulture and I am loving my life! I have two healthy, smart and handsome sons. One a career Army Ranger and the other is quite the buisnessman!

Tell me about your life since Marquand and where are you living?

Good to hear from you!

My question is where did B.S. DuBose Come from? Was he born in Georgia and then move to Texas and then to Arkansas? Does the B stand for Burton?
