Just looked up the person from the Harvey family that I had talked to. She is also the person who has downloaded pictures of the family on various Harvey Find A Grave pages. I talked to Carol Sue Harvey Heath.

RE: Sarah J Morrison Harvey
I was able to locate someone from the Harvey family back in December. I let her know that the marker was suppose to be at the courthouse complex somewhere. I did not know where it was stored. The article from the newspaper was from approx. 25 years ago. Relative came down and talked to Bastrop County people. I got in trouble for trying to help out and left the museum shortly after contacting the Harvey family. I do not know what has happened since then. There was a distant family tie to the Harvey family and a family in Bastrop. I do not think that this is why the marker got to Bastrop County, but I thought it was interesting that both women were named Sarah Jane.

Sarah Ann McFarland (1825)
Good Morning!

According to your information on Find a Grave, #64533562, re. Jonathan Pierce Stubbs (1850), my great-great-grandmother may be either Sarah Ann McFarland (1825) or Sarah Ann Smith, I am trying to determine which is most likely.

Any help will be VERY MUCH appreciated.

Cliff Layton,

I will try to explain this the best I can. I volunteer at the Bastrop County Historical Museum. Sometime ago a tombstone was found while work was being done in courthouse/jail. It is the tombstone of Mrs Harvey. Dates match up with what is still readable. We do not know how it got to Bastrop County. This what it says.
"Sarah, wife of W C Harvey, born Dec 22, 1849, died Oct 4 1899. Mother, thou hast from us flown to the regions far above. We to thee erect this stone consecrated by our love"
Tombstone is being stored I believe at the county court house.
Please get back to me. This stone sounds like it was removed from your cemetery in Ellis County.

I was just wondering... are you willing to help with some on the ground genie work? You have a Carrie Olphant in your Find A Grave and my cousin, who was born in Waxach... Texas, but died in Charlottesville, VA is listed as the executive of her estate, via a 1943 Newspaper article, but I am not understanding why or how there is a connection. I can provide more info if you are willing to do some on the ground looking/digging for me. Thanks so much!

Louganie Cornelius
Good Morning and Merry Christmas. I am trying to do some research on the Cornelius family. My husband is a descendant from the same family as Louganie's husband. Trying to find Andrew her husband. There is a connection to Andrew on her memorial but the dates do not connect. Unless the stone is wrong(which I have seen) the dob for this Andrew would be around 1867. This could be a child, sence Andrew and Louganie married in 1864. Need some help and advice. Thanks

I want to thank you for your work at MT.ZION CEMETERY IN ELLIS COUNTY, MIDLOTHIAN TEXAS.
My mom is buried there and I don't have the opportunity to go to the cemetery as often as I would like to, she told me not to actually. So, by having the information you provide to us on Find a grave. Com, I am able to visit her and sometimes write to her like I would talk to her. It helps me and one day, my kids and grand kids will be able to find her.
sincerely, cindy Davis
