Hi,

I am more than happy to transfer this memorial to you. Thanks for giving me her last name of Camp. She was in Rosehill Cemetery Record book listed under that name. I found more information for you, which you probably have and already know, but I added it to her memorial. If there are any others you would like transferred, please let me know. I also linked her to her parents. Her mother is in the mausoleum in Rosehill. My picture turned out blurry as my telephoto lens on my digital camera was acting up on me and I just have never gotten back in there to do a retake.

Hi Mystic,
I sent a message on your behalf to the person that maintains Sarah's grave. You might want to have her spouse's grave attach, I don't know who maintain's that grave. The message was as follows:
Hello,
I received this message from Mystic Marn: Hi-I thought you might like to connect Sarah Vanande Childs to her parents' F.A.G. memorials which you maintain. Her father is Jacob A Vanande #60662594, and Sarah's number is 96573522. She married Charles Silas Childs (my ancestor) on 23 Sep 1867. Thanks! Marnie
On her behalf would be please update with the maiden name Vanande and attach her parents: Jacob Vanande grave#60662594 and Catherine (Kirkpatrick)Vanande grave#60662595. I maintain the parents grave's and I did confirm the relationship through familysearch and ancestry.com
Thank you

The Bentleys Corners Cemetery is a good start, Kate Keller has adopted that cemetery and hopefully she will find something for you. If you continue to have problems, we can check the small cemeteries around St Joseph, which is in Calhoun co, barely, the others in Hillsdale or Branch counties.
You are welcome
Another thought, who are her parents and where are they buried, that also might be a clue.

I sent you a reply, but it went to the moderator for in innocent reason. (Computers can't read!) Her actual name as I understand was Lois Isabelle, but she went by Louis. Sounds like she had a humorous side.

Thank you again Marnie. I sure appreciate all your help and such speed! I am going to see about getting Alonzo a proper headstone. And it is weird though, looks like it says Steven. All the other records I've seen it spelled Stephen. More mystery.... :)

It's possible the stones are longer there, broken from age or vandals....or maybe they never had one. Alonzo Bull is also buried with them. I don't see his headstone online either. I don't think he's listed in that publication I was just referring to, but do see him here:

http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~evansandobertein/wildwoodcemetery/wildwood.htm

I live in the Eagle/Portland area not a long long ways from Chesaning, but a fair piece. Haven't had time to get out that way. No rush, but if you could confirm that would be really sweet.

Thanks for you help and volunteerism!

RE: Bulls in Chesaning
Hello,

Yes I so see headstone photos on-line for Wildwood Cemetery. Wasn't sure if it is a complete listing.

I do have Steven (Stephen) and Catherine Bull listed in the Wildwood Cemetery publication, Book 1, page 6, published by the Saginaw County Genealogical Society in 1982. The book doesn't say if the information is derived from headstones or burial records or a combination of both.

I was thinking their info might have been taken from burial records since his name is spelled Steven in the book, but then next to their names in quotes is "Father" and "Mother" which lead me to think they had headstones.

I know that Martin Munro, their grandson who's headstone photo is on-line is buried next to them.

Here is the link to the source:

I sent you the thank you before checking on the picture. I didn't have an individual picture of Emma so I am thrilled to have one now. Emma was my great great grandmother. Thank you for uploading a picture. Are you on Ancestry? I have Emma's obit and a picture of all the siblings. If you'd like I could email those to you.

I stopped in the cemetary office to find out where he was buried. It took me awhile to find it as it was laying on the ground. The cemetary had some vandalism in 2003 where hundreds of headstones were knocked over or broken.

You are more than welcome. I also photographed the stone of MARY E.ZIEGLER (Feb 16 1922 - Jan 1 2010) while I was there. Her stone is next to Presley's. If you create a memorial, I can upload it or if you want it for your personal family history software, I can send it by email. You can contact me at my email address listed on Find A Grave.

Sincerely,
Phil Carpenter

Charles Waldron - 2
Sometimes I type way too fast, sorry!
Anyway, I wanted to let you know exactly what the Chesaning Area Historical Society sent me:

1. Cemetery Internment Record:
"Wildwood Cemetery Index, Chesaning Township, Michigan. Copies can be found in the CAHS Museum and River Rapids District Library, Chesaning, Michigan".
2. Charles Waldron: DOB 1806; DOD: 1868 listed in above.

Sincerely,
Sue

Charles Waldron
Thank you for the wonderful website link. But...the Charles Waldron I'm looking for and put the photo request in for was born in 1806. The local historical society is the one that said there is a book (I can't recall the name) that states this Charles Waldron is also buried there.
The Charles Waldron DOB 1806 is the Charles Waldron on the website, grandfather. His son is Edward Cutts (E.C.) Waldron.
But with that entire cemetery photographed per the website, that tells me IF the Charles Waldron is there, he is an unmarked grave.
Sincerely,
Sue Franklin

Satha Van Ande
There are several Van Ande children buried in Perry Cemetery. Unfortunately, Only one of the markers is still legible - Jacob Horace Van Ande. I was wondering if your request was for Catherine Van Ande, she was the wife of Jacob A. Van Ande. I did upload a picture of the Jacob A. and Catherine Van Ande marker. I will look for the sexton's office to see if they have a record of Satha Van Ande.

RE: Osmyn Childs
There was an obelisk with only William W, his wife Emily and son Birtie on it. There were 2 small markers in front of the obelisk with the names Emily and Birtie and a 3rd one that I think said Father, but it was unreadable. There was 1 marker behind the obelisk that said "Father 1798-1867 Mother 1803-1856". There was nothing saying Osmyn or Lucy, but the dates on the Father/Mother marker were correct for them. There were also 2 larger markers in front that read Margaret V and William H. I posted all of them on their respective memorial pages.
