RE: John McBrayer photo
All the McBrayers are mine too.... the Daviess Co. Patriarch, Samuel McBrayer [b. 1771-1846] was a brother to my Mary McBrayer Justice.. I don't know for sure where she is exactly buried [no stone], so I've kinda adopted her brother. Always glad to get more info on my family.... where do you connect?

Betty Jane Wootten
Hi Suzann - was wondering if you could send a higher res picture of Betty Jane Wootten. She was married to my cousin (several times removed) Albert Edward Wootten. I have a picture of Albert Wootten when he was younger but would appreciate if you have a later picture of him too.

Horace White
I forget to note something in the originally created mem'l pg. Could you or someone investigate and verify plz if Mr White and his wife are the parents of actress Betty White? Here is an example found in this bio from Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Betty_White):

"Born Betty Marion White in Oak Park, Illinois, on January 17, 1922, she is the daughter of Tess Curtis (née Cachikis), a homemaker, and Horace Lawrence White, a traveling salesman and electrical engineer. Her mother was of Greek, English, and Welsh descent, and her father was of Danish and English ancestry...."

If Mr and Mrs White are Betty's parents, would you be able to add anything to their bio's. I'd much appreciate it. Thx.

RE: Thank you!
Hey Suzann, you might want to take a look at that cemetery's list of interments. You'll see that someone at some point created a memorial for S.A. Thompson and included a photo of the headstone. It is clearly the same person, so those two memorials need to be merged.

Henry (Hank) Turner's stone
Henry Turner was my g-g-grandmother's nephew and my cousin a few times removed. Henry's mother and my g-g-grandmother were sisters. You posted a picture of his stone on findagrave. Would you mind if I used that picture on FTM and Ancestry.com to be part of my family history? I am not going to sell the picture---just want one to help with my family history. Thank you.

McBrayers in McCrary Cemetery
Forget my previous message. It was because of your photo requests that we went to the McCrary Cemetery in the first place. So, obviously you knew about the McBrayers and the Winburns being there. We did not find your Henry and Edith McBrayer.

RE: Amanda Winburn photos
Came across a couple of Winburns in the McCrary Cemetery in Gallatin, MO. They were with a number of McBrayers. If I remember correctly Henry and Amanda Winburn was next to a John McBrayer in the Highland Cemetery in Iola. Would this be a connection?

RE: Sarah Thompson
I checked the online register again. There is no Sarah Ann Thompson listed. It seems that I have been drawn back to this cemetery every week, I have a copy of the cemetery that shows the location of each grave, it has been a life saver. Are you aware of the online register for Mt. Hope? If not, here it is, google-- City of Humbolt, Kansas. click on cemetery it will take you where you want to go. When I go to Iola, Ks.( 2wks) It is just north of Humbolt, I will check their register for her. They only have a book to look thru. If I can be of any help, I most certainly will. Maybe we will get lucky if we turn over enough rocks. LeAry

Sarah Thompson
There is a Sarah Thompson at this Cemetery, However, she is buried with her husband and the dates do not match up. Are you sure that she is here? There is no record of her being buried here.

Albert Arnold Sprague, IV
Zealous Milstead / Find A Grave Memorial #68140600
Suzann,
You set up a FindAGrave memorial for Zealous Zeale Milstead
http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GSln=milstead&GSiman=1&GScid=682952&GRid=68140600& .
He is my wife's (Claudia Milstead) 4th great-grandfather
http://www.ac-family.org/genealogy/getperson.php?personID=I3100&tree=AC-Family .
We are wondering if you have any sources for his burial in Walnut Grove Baptist Cemetery. We would like to show his burial there and want to be able to substantiate that entry in Legacy.
I hope that you are willing to reply to me at asprague@gsb.uchicago.edu . That way I will have a record of our correspondence.
Many thanks,
Arnold

RE: Spurgeon
The email (suzannholland.com) didn't go through. Yup! That's me. I needed a break yesterday at my desk and for some reason, just thought I'd "Google" Uncle Spurgeon and I was blown away! I've got a pic of your mom and me taken at Aunt Naomi's or Aunt Carolyn's, I think. Gotta find it! More later, cousin!

Uncle Spurgeon
Wow! I was shocked and surprised! I confess, I got bored at the office and just to see what would happen if I "Googled" my Uncle Spurgeon's name. I never expected anything like this. I had never seen the news article before. I went all through grade school with the son of the man who shot him. As child I didn't know or understand much about what had happened and I and the other boy always got along fine.

Thanx for the info! God bless!
