Melchi G. Hart, #107827736
Dorothy, Solomon & Nancy Waggoner Hart are my gggrandparents. They moved with their family from Bedford County, Tennessee, to Morgan County, Illinois in the Fall of 1826. They settled, along with several other Hart families from Bedford County, in a rural area that became known as Hartland or Harts Prairie, some 8-10 miles south of the village of Franklin, where I grew up. Melchi was the brother of my ggrandfather, George Hart. I've never seen the middle initial G. Do you know what the middle name was? Some of Solomon's children had middle names, some didn't, it appears. There is no tombstone for Melchi in Bull but he may well be buried there. Bull Cemetery is located in Hartland, 8 miles south of Franklin, as is Hartland aka Harts Prairie Cemetery.
Thanks for all your work! Sincerely, David M. Hart, Oklahoma City, OK

Karen Maika
Memorial on living person
Hi Dotty, There is a death date on Alma Frost Ethridge Gunn's memorial #40031432, Gracelawn Cemetery, Edmond, Oklahoma. Aunt Alma is still very much alive and celebrating her 100th birthday this summer. Can you help to get this date removed, please? Her husband, Carl "Birdie" Gunn was my Mother: Elsie Louise Gunn Otto's, brother. Thank you, Karen Otto Maika.

Herbert & Carrie Hoagland
I added a photo for Herbert who is in an unmarked grave. I also found where he had been moved to the same plot as his sister Carrie, who died in 1870. You may wish to send me links to her parents. She is memorial 23548276. Her original entry on the cemetery records had her name spelled as Hogland which is why you probably didn't see it. I have changed the spelling. Hope that helps.

Della Hadley Baker Wood
Hello! Just wondering if per chance you had discovered any additional info re: Della Florence Hadley Baker Wood. I have a family connection to her first husband: Claude Monroe Baker but I'm having trouble learning much about him. Thank you for this info in Find-A-Grave. It's a start!

The photos on Helen Hart's memorial are the only photos I have. As far as I know the individuals on this wall memorial were cremated. They only have small name plaques. Hope this is helpful.

Sorry, I don't have another photo of Rebecca Page's headstone. But, what I do have is the original photograph in my files. I went ahead and re-posted her headstone in the original size. The one that you saw was only 250KB in size. The photo on her memorial is now 1.4MB. Hope that helps.

I got your picture you requested for Glenn Reed and also took his wife Ellade Reed's marker. I put in an edit for birth year change and to have them connected to each other.

I talked to the office at Cape County Mem Park and they told me Clark Ervin was buried by Corinne Delaney's plot. Both sides of her are blank, no tombstones. So I took a picture showing you know the area. I guess no one bought him a tombstone.

Dorothy, I will gladly transfer this entry on Mary to you, if you would like for me to do so. I have no desire to be in a war of words with long time submitters to Find a Grave. I will remove all of my entries on Find A Grave. My intent was to submit information that might be helpful to family historians, but life is too short to squabble about who is right or wrong, so enjoy and good luck on your research and future postings.

Mary Naida (Lewis) Slinkard
Hi Again Dorothy, Are you a friend of Mary's or was your entry on her site an accident? Simeon English Lewis, Mary's father, was born on 12 September 1894, and the entry that you added to Mary's site was born in 1888. I am not an expert on math or biology but it seems to me that it would be hard for a child to be older than their stated parent. Simeon English Lewis and Katie Cordelia Lewis were not married until 19 August 1916, so Sonny can not be their child. If you feel otherwise, and want to take ownership of this site, then I will gladly step aside and allow you to post anything that you want to. However, if your goal is to help Find A Grave post only correct information, then you might want to remove what you have posted from Mary's site. The decision is yours!

Hi Dorothy, I am the nephew of Mary Naida (Lewis) Slinkard and entered her family information on the Find A Grave website. Who is Sonny Lewis? If you look at the entry on Mary's family, you will not notice his name. Please contact me and or remove the information that you entered because it is not correct!

RE: Emory L. Jones
Emory L. Jones - yes, I have him in the correct cemetery, but it is an easy mistake. The two cemeteries are side by side and share an entrance. Unfortunately, I still have several that are in the wrong cemetery up there. One way to know is that Graceland Memorial did not open until 1961.
