RE: Pine Knob Drag Strip
Mel, I don't remember the exact location of the Pine Knob Drag Strip in Dickson. I have a couple of boxes of my late brother's trophys that I will dig out of the attic and see if there are any clues there.
I will email you later this week.

Gregory Allen Olhava
The community mausoleum was Greg's original burial location! but he was moved to the Immaculate Mausoleum sometime afterwards, i was wondering if you could put his original location unter Note on his memorial?? for example: Note: Original Burial Location: Community Mausoleum Main, Crypt 350, Tier 7R .... and then under Plot you can put: Immaculate Heart Of Mary Garden Mausoleum, Building 43, Crypt 2544, Tier 4 .... i would appreciate it alot!!

Thank you for the picture and uncovering the headstone. His kids died in 78 and 83 I think. If there were grandchildren no one came to visit I guess. Sad! I live in Idaho, only recently found out where he was buried and never knew him. Thanks again, Sandra

Hope you received the message from Jan today.

if you are doing work there, please work with her.

RE: Greenwood Cemetery
I checked in with the ladies who have been working Greenwood. They think it is pretty well photographed and all that are missing are the unmarked graves.

Would love to see some work on Seaside/Evergreen if
that would work for you?

RE: Greenwood Cemetery
Yes, I input the plot info from work with another volunteer with the sexton records.

Most of the research and photos at Greenwood were
done by two sisters, one who lives in Astoria and
her sister who lives near Salem and can access the
State Archives. I will pass your name and offer
on to them. Perhaps you can combine efforts as I
don't know where they have done and what is yet to do.

I would also love to have someone on the ground at Evergreen Cemetery in Seaside doing pictures, etc. It is a smaller cemetery. The city has good maps. I have entered some of the older memorials, but there is much to be done there and I don't think anyone is working on it.

RE: Ray & Emily Kegeris
Ok Ray

I will do some looking. Seems like I remember seeing that name on a cencus but it did not mean anything to me at the time. Emily was my wife's, dad's Half sister. (Hope that made sense.) Anyway Will do some checking here. I am sure he is not related to Emily so the connection must be thru Ray and I don't have a lot on his side of the Family.

RE: Sponsored Page
Hi - when I came across the Covina Argus newspaper article about how David and his brother-in-law (your great(?) grandfather), Perry C. Bashore had a "scientific experiment" (weight loss bet) going on, I had to add it to David's Find a Grave memorial. Thought it was an appropriate tie-in to the photo you'd posted and described as one taken by Perry Bashore following their 30-day fast. By the way I'm a great-great-grandson of Katie Overholtzer-Lewellen-Bashore through her daughter Elsie Lewellen-Perry; believe you and I have corresponded once or twice in the past 20-years or so. My Mom is Connie Timmons-Head. Take care.

Michael Bashore

During your research of Michael Bashore, Did you ever run across any connection between a Robison/Robinson family in relation to the Bashore family?

Both are Pennsylvania families. I've come across a Bond (1868) in Miami Co, Ohio with Michael as the executor of the Estate of William Robison. The Robison families I'm trying to untangle and was curious of this Michael Bashore.

You can reach me at mitchell7953 (at)

Ragna Almenning Brunsvik
Hi Mel,
I am Ragna Almenning Brunsvik's granddaughter and would be glad to manage this memorial for you, if you wouldn't mind and have no problems with that. I don't remember what you need to transfer management to me, but let me know if there is anything I need to do to assist in a transition, if that is what you decide.
Thank you
Evelyn Mathews Day

to Mel Bashor,
I am the daughter in law of Jennie Nelson
Hall. I feel sure the picture you have posted
for Jennie is not her. I have many pictures of
her. None that look like that.

You are welcome. Yes, I saw that he had lost his life in a race. It is sad, I lost my 19 year old son in 1991 due to a motorcycle wreck.
