What a coincidence! It's what I love about this site. I looked some yesterday for your Rosencrants given name question. Did an 1850 census search, looking in western New York counties like Yates and Ontario. No luck.

RE: Goakes
Oh that's a shame. One thing I'm finding out: spouses are quite often not buried in the cemetery!

I transferred James Olsen to you by mistake. That should have been made to the person I photographed another Olsen for. If you transfer him back, I'll make sure he goes to the right person.

Best regards,

B.J.

RE: Goakes
You're welcome! But just because I didn't see a headstone for Edwin, doesn't mean he isn't there. You should call the office to confirm. There were some unmarked spots in the area so who knows, he could be there.

Best regards,

B.J.

Success!
Mayme Wright MacDonald, buried with Yvonne Goakes, was Yvonne's mother. She must have remarried after her husband died. Harry C. Wright is buried next to them. I created memorials for them and linked them, and sent a request to link Yvonne to her parents.

There are no other MacDonalds in the area, so it is a mystery who her next husband was.

I hope this helps you.

Best regards,

B.J.

Okay, great!
I've claimed your request and see the location in your 'hote'. I hope the McDonald name is on the headstone, or else I won't be able to give you more info. Keep your fingers crossed!

Regards,

B.J.

Yvonne Goakes
Hello! Could you please call the cemetery 310/412-6500 and get the location of her grave? It is a really busy office and it really helps if we volunteers don't have to spend too much time in there. Also, it is difficult if we come in with a list of 8 or 10. Constant interruptions because the employee at the desk will stop and help others as they come in the door.

Thanks for helping us to help you!

Regards,

B.J.

I'm not sure I posted all the pics. He apparently married a second time in the 70's. Glad I could help!

RE: Mildred Hodges
Hey Wendy, Mildred is not related to me. I am doing
a little research on the Cummings and Vanhooser's
in and around the McMinnville, Warren Co area.

Wendy,
Sorry that the photo is not real clear. There was not much depth to the engraving on the stone so it doesn't show real clearly. You may use the photo as you wish.

RE: Reed family plot
Hey, these are the graves in order as you would see them at the cemetery.
H.H. Reed- father is Henry Reed and mother is Martha Wiggins
Selia E. Blow- father is Henry Blow and Sarah C. Parker Blow Reed
Elizabeth S. Reed- father is J.H. Reed and Sarah C. Parker Blow Reed
Emery G. Reed- father is J.H. Reed and Sarah C. Parker Blow Reed
I think Emery was born in 1873. I know it looks like 1878 on the marker but I took a piece of chalk to make sure. When I'm out that way again I will look again to make sure. Sarah is my GG grandmother through Charity Reed. Henry Reed that is married to Martha Wiggins is Charity's brother.

Please go ahead and add him, he may be the 2nd spouse of Dorothy. I created these two for a distant cousin, so I am not sure. Thank you very much.

Thank you, Wendy. I appreciate that.

I do not believe I am kin to him, but was working on him in conjunction to his wife's family at the Familysearch.org.

Thanks for all you do on here! It's an invaluable way to connect families.

RE: Maude (Blair) Barker
No, sorry, I'm not sure if there is a stone there or not. I got the plot info from a book that shows all the burial locations. When the weather breaks a little I may be able to get there and check for you. If I find it I'll take a picture and post it onto her memorial. If you request a photo that will be a good reminder for me!
