|Christina Dunigan||RE: Vivian Campbell|
The email you gave me didn't work. You can see the death certificate online here:
The rest of what I know came from reading the notes of the coroner's inquest at the Allegheny County archives. I should have photocopied everything, but I only had one day and I wanted to get information on all the abortion deaths I'd tracked down.

I have a copy of Vivian's death certificate, and read the coroner's inquest documents, and found that her actual date of death was July 7. I submitted the edit but I figured you would want to know the source of the different date.
The death certificate also lists her birth date as December 1, 1922, born in Duquesene.

That'll be great, my distant cousins are buried there somewhere, but don't know where since they died in Yucca Valley, CA.

Do you live in Yucca Valley, CA or in San Bernardino County, CA? Because one of my distant cousins and her family died in Yucca Valley, CA and I was wondering if you lookup obituaries too?

I sent you an email explaining things. Please don't let the dates fool you. My memorial is not a duplicate.

|GDS||RE: Heads Up|
Actually, the other memorial is a duplicate of the one I created and submitted for approval. If Find A Grave doesn't want to obey their own rules then why should I? I don't know how much more honest I can be but that member copied my bio and their memorial gets approved while my original bio is denied? Please forgive me but there's something very wrong there.

Maybe so. One can upload memorials, and Find A Grave people who definitely decides what is going to be famous. It was ever thus. What not to do is upload a memorial, if it exists as "famous".

I said to you, the same thing who once told me an important contributor Find A Grave, when I warned him that a memorial was doubled.
Certainly, before writing the memorial of Mr. Edwards, I checked to see if there was another, and none appeared. Then I do it. But I asked my memorial to be considered a "famous". The other partner, didn't the same.
Now, my memorial was erased and my photos posted on the other morial, it isn't famous yet .
I dont know how it is. Every day I see that a memorial is doubled and nobody says anything. Find A Grave's People have to choose which deem best to convert as "famous". There are partners who do not write the biographies: just copy and paste from Wikipedia or from newspapers.
I hope you understand that my intention is not to bother. I am a serious researcher and it gives me pleasure do it. Nothing is what I seek. Nobody pays me to work making Find A Grave memorials, and I like it yet.

There is no "first come first served" on famous memorials as there is on others. Often multiple pages are submitted and they are picked from or combined. Nobody of us decides it, only Find A Grave, and none was selected as "famous" yet. I hope you understand my explanation, please.

|Dr. James M. Owston||RE: Duplicate memorial|
I have deleted the memorial. When I added all of my memorials, there were two cemetery listings for McKeesport-Versailles - in essence having two cemeteries for a single cemetery. When I discovered the second cemetery, I attempted to delete all of my duplicates - but apparently missed some. Find A Grave on the request of several of us merged the two into one.

If you like you can include as well on yours - though it's just a picture of the unmarked location where her grave is. It's on the other entry b/c that's the one the researcher used to send the photo request.

I was looking for information about the old Bagdad cemetery http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=cr&CRid=2267496
You provide this information (thank you!) but not on the page of the cemetery but in a Memorial for 'unknown' http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GScid=2267496&GRid=28094114&
I was wondering why you did that.

I really don't remember how I knew that but I had it written in my notes about her and dug around until I found it.
Such a sad thing.....and one our government should be ashamed about. I know, they really couldn't have done anything about it, but.....

Days are getting a little easier for me to go through, but my heart continues to decline from the pain that I endure. I final realized that I can't change how my heart feels, however I must learn to live with this scar forever.

|Bob Hufford||RE: Lt. John Finn memorial|
Thank you so much for your kind words. I think that Mr. Finn makes five Medal of Honor recipients (along with two VCs, the British equivalent) that I have done the bio for, and I never cease to be blown away. My hometown had one holder of the Medal, but that's another story; I never met him because he was in the State Pen most of the years when I was growing-up. My grandfather once told me he booked him at least half a dozen times before the war. Name left out on purpose.
I acknowledge the difference between "recipient" and "winner", but I fear that using recipient twice in the same sentence would have been awkward. I confess that I do a better job of writing and wording when the subject is someone that only I want. With an Opera Babe I'm not under the time pressure that attends the "super famous". Anneliese Rotherberger got a better bio than did Lynn Redgrave. "Who's Anneliese Rothenberger?" My point exactly.
Thank you, again, and I should be honored to be added to your "friends list".
