|C Quentin||Mary ad Marlene Alexander|
Thanks for photos of the gravestone of Mary and Marlene Alexander. I had heard that my grandmother had at least one stillborn daughter, but this shows me that it was two (and gives me their names).
We have conversed before over email, but I am trying to remember the family connection, maybe Tabaka/Tabasinske or was it Alexander

Thanks for the linking of our families Russ! My great grandmother was Lillie Mae Musgrove Jolly. She was the daughter of Perry and Virginia Laws Overton. I believe that you and I are distant cousins. What do you think? Thanks so much Russ!

A woman wrote and asked if I knew the name of a church that used to be by the Vanderhoof cemetery.
She saw my email address on some other genealogy website.
Besides the name of the church (she was told it burnt down) she can't find a GEORGE MCKINLEY (husband of Caroline Vanderhoof).
Any information you have would be greatly appreciated.
If you know someone else that might have information about those things I could give the woman their email addresses if I had them....Thanks Rhonda

Thanks very much for posting these fotos and details about the Wilsons in the Newton, Jasper County, Illinois cemetery!
I'm helping my son-in-law with his Wilson branch. It looks to me as if Ann Caldwell Wilson (1820-1904) was the second wife of Joseph Wilson (1798-1867). If so, they probably married after Joseph's first wife, Ann Gault, died in 1854. What do you think?
Also, I see family trees on Ancestry that list the wife of Joseph Wilson, Sr. (1766-1835) as having a wife named Annas Caldwell. That seems a bit of a coincidence. Do you know about that?
Thanks again for your great volunteer work!

I live in decatur and have been going out to greenwood for years
I have always wanted to see the unusual mausoleum that I could see from above but never drove down to it
finally did yesterday and that is such a beautiful monument and as you know put back in the hill so I couldnt resist taking a picture
I have a copy of the greenwood cemetery book so it was easy for me to get the rest of the family
I have started a big task now because I also took pictures of some durfees (I went to durfee grade school) and wondered who it was named afer
I am up to 25 people with input and information
but its fun

Hi! I am related to Mary Rhodes Vanderhoof. Have a question RE: the birth date. The tombstone looks as though it says she was 48 years old and died in 1864 which would put her birth date at about 1816. Am I reading the tombstone correctly? Thank you.

Thank you for posting the burials of Nora A., Mary T., and Clara V. Selby in Riverside Cemetery. They were children of John W. Selby and Lucinda O. Conde. Lucinda was a distant cousin to me and finding photographs of her childrens graves is quite satisfying.
May I use these photos in my Ancesty Conde family site? Thank you very much.

I don't think I've heard back from you on my previous message. I would like very much to have the May family buried in Vanderhoof Cemetery, Jasper County, IL, transferred to me so that I can post bios and pictures. They are all direct relatives on my maternal side. I would really appreciate it! Thank you very much.

Would you please consider transferring ownership of the May family in Vanderhoof Cemetery, Newton, Illinois, to me? They are my family on my mother's side. I will also e-mail you.
