RE: Re: Mary Vollmer
Thanks for you help. I have found some more information about the school and the students, that may help. The library that I go to is trying to get them. I do believe that I have found Mike, just have to confirm. Once I have, I will send a request to edit Mary's Bio.

Thanks Again,

RE: Re: Mary Vollmer
Hello Randy,

Thanks so much for the additional information about Mike or "Michael" Vollmer. I did find him in the 1910 Census at Xenia for the school as Michael Vollmer and in the 1920 Census in Dayton, Ohio as Michael Vollmer living in a household as a "boarder". I have not been able to locate him in the 1930 or 1940 census. I have found a Mike R. Vollmer in Texas in 1920 who died at Kelly Field in So. San Antonio, Texas in August 1920 at the age of 18. According to his death certificate, he was born in 1902 in Kentucky?? Does the book you made mention of, "The Pride of Ohio" give Mary, Katie or Mike's birth dates by chance and who enrolled them? I am going to see if the local library here in Ripley can get the book from another library so I can look through it. I know the Greene County Public Library in Xenia has it in their Reference Section. Finding Michael fills in the gap of time between Katie (born 1899) and their younger sister Eva (born 1905). Their father Paul, was a Civil War Veteran. It is so neat to find out this information, especially since I started with nothing and am slowly putting the pieces together on this part of my family.

Thanks again for all of your help,

RE: Re: Mary Vollmer

Thanks for adding and updating Mary's bio. Appreciate it. Also, thanks for the information about the book on the school. Didn't know they had a brother Mike. I'll have to look into him.

Thank you very much,

Linzey Hargrove
The webpage for the above-mentioned appeared on for William Lindsey (Linzey, Lincy) Hargrove, but I have a birth date of 1813 and a death date in 1849. Do you know if this might be the same person? I would be curious to know if you have any other info on this person (parents and/or spouse names) so I can determine if it is the same person or not. Thanks for any info you can provide.

Hi Randy, I know it is outside the normal guide lines for transfer but I would gladly accept a transfer for Andrew Hyslop, Sr (1821-1901). He was my 3rd gr-grandfather.

I noticed you didn't have James Kell's birth date listed.
It was October 20, 1799. He was my GGGGrandfather.

Vietnam platoon buddy
Thank you for the images of the headstone for Richard E Wolfe, 1944-1968, taken at the Saint Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Princeton, Gibson County, IN.
I served with him in the Weapons Platoon, A Co., 2/18th Inf., 1st Inf. Div.
I was out on the sweep with him when he was killed in a massive firefight against the Phu Loi VC Battalion. He was killed along with Robert Hilley and Wayne E Bates. I was wounded by RPG shrapnel in my lower back. Both Richard E Wolfe and Robert Hilley were within my sight when they were both killed by small arms fire and grenades on Jan. 6, 1968
Again, I thank you for your seemingly tireless contributing work.

Richard C. Weedman -- Thank you
Hi Randy -- Thank you so much for maintaining the memorial for my 3xg grandfather. And further thank you for transferring the memorial to me. At last, I feel that there is a chance to revitalize the memory of this old soldier and restore his place in his family.

RE: Richard C. Weedman
You know, I think I would like to have it transferred to me. I am always a bit reluctant, because I am in CA and not near any of the grave markers -- which I assume you are. However, the site seems to be well photographed. Eventually I will get to see it in person. Can I rely on you to answer questions about the physical site until that time?

Richard C. Weedman
I am the 3x great granddaughter to Richard C. Weedman buried at Montgomery Cemetery, Oakland City, In.

Records indicate he was born in about 1838 in Indiana. He served in the Union infantry and died on 24 march 1883. The application for his headstone was misfiled for years under Richer G. Weedman, but has been corrected. It can be viewed at fold3 or

Richard C. Weedman was husband Mary Jane Craig Weldon of Otwell, IN with whom he had 3 children: Richard M.Weedman, Elisha Franklin (known as Frank) Weedman, and Mary Ann Weedman Rhodes.

Per P.A. Miller there was a Bell Cemetery and the graves were moved here. Do you know anything about that?
Thank you for the memorial.
