John Schooling 26527415
While looking for info on a distant ancestor who served in the 28th Iowa Volunteer Infantry,
(Henry W. Sailor) I ran across a posting of John Lewis Schooling letters to his wife Nancy. If you haven't seen it you'll want to check it out. They can be found here:

His son Andrew Henderson was the father of my great grandmother, Lena Alice. Her daughter Ruth was my grandmother. I would be grateful if you have any other information.

Obit seem to indicate that W. M. McCommas is
a son of John McCommas (1828-1909) instead of
a sibling. Please check your records. Thank!

wrong cemetery
Hi, I believe you have George Washington Dorsett, Susan Dorsett and Henry Dorsett in the wrong Cemetery. Look for Connerly Switch Cemetery, Lawrence County, Mitchell, Indiana. I am from Lawrence County, and believe that there is only one such named cemetery there. These three are listed in the other cemetery too. If you find that your entries have some info that are not listed on the other ones, you now can edit dates, names and etc.
Flora and Harley Terrell are not listed in the correct cemetery, so you could enter those in the correct cemetery.

Anna Holley/Hawley Wormington (1806-1845)
Dear Kathleen,

I have been trying to document Anna Olive Wormington nee Holley/Hawley who married on Nov 10, 1821 in Sumner Co., TN Asa Hassell Wormington, Sr.(1803 - 1875). Originally I thought Anna's maiden name "Holley" was just a different phonetic spelling of "Hawley" and thus used The Hawley Records to trace her heritage. However, the current day keeper of The Hawley Records, explained that the Anna O. Hawley who was born June 14, 1801 in East Bloomfield, Ontario, NY, was married to a different man (not Asa Wormington), and died at a young age (Jan 4, 1827) without any children. I then turned my research to East Bloomfield, Hartford Co., CT and discovered a very large Holley/Holly family. While I have not been able to identify Anna's parents, a local expert on the Holly family, sent some information on the extended family. Just wondering if your sources can spread any light on the family of origin of Anna O. Wormington nee Holley who was born c, 1805 in Bloomfield, Hartford Co.CT?

Thanks in advance,
Cindy McCabe

Are we by chance related? I am a local resident of Autauga County, Ala. I noted you have a few memorials on Find A Grave for some members of my family. I would love to know if we are related.

Good evening... I received the request today for Western Heights Cemetery and wanted to let you know that this cemetery is locked tight and you cannot get in unless you are a family member and can prove you are a family member. Because this is where Clyde Barrow is buried, they will arrest anyone who jumps the gate.

My apologies--I was adding a cemetery photo to the above memorial in Un. Grv. Cem. and had not noticed your request for a photo of the gravestone. So, your request was not really fulfilled. I am sorry, but you will have to enter your request again.

My email
Is there another way besides a public message to send my email? I don't want some anonymous bot scanning for email addresses and snagging mine.

wait... send it to sallymuckenfutch(at)gmail(dot)com insert the correct symbol and punctuation. That is a 'throwaway' email address.

I have noticed that you made a page for miss Amanda Golson, just letting you know that she is not burried in the Deramus Cemetery, but that she is burried in the old Deramus Cemetery, and has a page with pictures. Renee

John Lewis Schooling
Hello, I noticed your flowers and message as being a great-granddaughter of John Lewis Schooling. My grand mother was Emma Louise Schooling Blackburn. Although she never spoke of her father/mother that I remember, I met a few of her side of the family that lived in Roanoke. I spent most of my teenaged summers with them and those are my fondest memories.

Asa Hassell Wormington
Hello! I mistakenly left a "public message", and should have sent directly to you. I am a great-great-grandson of Asa Wormington, through his daughter, Celina Wormington Teel, wife of Robert William (1844-1912), and then son William Harrison Teel (1868-1941) to William Earl Teel(1914-1995), my father.

As children, my father and his sister, Juanita, lived with grandmother Celina after their mom (Lela Mae Burroughs Teel) died in 1921. My aunt Juanita once told me that Asa was "a proud man who rode straight in the saddle." I believe he was known to have a beautiful white horse, and once brought a freed slave girl back with him to work in their house. (I have her name in notes somewhere.) I'm wanting to know more of my ancestors at this stage in life, for normal reasons (curiosity, self-discovery, to connect spirits?)

I would appreciate any information or orientation you might offer. Are we distant relatives? With Best Wishes, David Teel, son of Earl.
