John W. Whisenhunt - mistaken death date
Hi Ann,

I believe you have mixed up the death date of John W. Whisenhunt (your husband's Great-Great Grandfather) with that of his wife. John's death date is 14 Aug 1899 and his wife's (Martha C. Graham Whisenhunt) is 20 Mar 1908, which is what you have listed for John.

Katie Cox (researching Whisenhunts on my husband's side of the family as well.)

I have added the information from the death certificate that could be added. Unfortunately, it does not list parents names. If you wish me to include the fathers memorial, please send me your sources for this information that I can verify (documents) Thanks.

Dates of death and subsequent marriage are decidedly odd.
Good job overall. Thanks for the work you do.

Native Texan
RE: Arthur Allen Winters
Hi Ann,

My pleasure. I sure do wish that I could see my great-grandmother, Ruffie Whitley Winters again, and of course all my grandparents and mother that have gone to be with the Lord. Ruffie was one of the sweetest people that I have ever met, and was so full of love and kindness. I only saw Arthur once or twice that I can remember, since I was four years old when he passed away. He was a very kind and wonderful great-grandfather too.

RE: # 17417726, 17417722 & 17314477
Thank you, Ann. Those memorials were supposed to go to Mr. P #47269485. Findagrave was doing strange things this morning. I'm sorry for the confusion.

Added by Susan (Haldeman) Fowler on Jul 30, 2011 10:53 AM

I just deleted the photo from the memorial. I see you have hers. To many times I have uncovered stones that are under the dirt. They don't pick them up much anymore, just let the earth take over. So many cemeteries are more concerned with the cost of mowing and not the giving the respect they should.

Added by margie on Jun 24, 2011 6:12 PM

opps I guess if she has a memorial you could copy it onto it? Lots of the old stones are laying on the ground and/or broken. happens to often. If I find his when I am wondering about in the cemetery I will photo it.

I was at butler pleasant hill cemetery in Lincoln county arkansas fullfilling request and sometimes I take extra pictures, especially of old and broken ones. I took a picture of J.W. Whisenhunts headstone and it is now posted. Just thought you would like to know. Have a good day!

Futhey's and Myers
Hi Ann, this is Russ. I was looking at my messages and I could not remember if I had sent you those pictures of Jane Ann Futhey and the Myers yet. I have a horrible memory and I will send them to you if I have yet to do so. Please let me know.

Thank You, Russ

Added by Russ on May 14, 2010 1:03 PM

I saw your comment for Roy Abraham Futhey and I was wondering if you are somehow related? I am a descendant of his sister Jane Ann Futhey Myers and would like to share information if so...

Thank You, Russ
