Eliza Jane Gunnett (34278433)
Just wanted to say thanks for her memorial; Eliza was a distant cousin of mine. We are both direct descendents of Anthony Gunnett/Antoine Conett (1751-1830). He was my 5th great grandfather.

I don't put the maps on there. FindAGrave does that. I don't know how you would correct it.

Hi,

Is Mr. Collons buried in the Snyder Cemetery on Stewart Creek, or the one on Sliding Run Road ?

RE: mcgrew family
The picture I was talking about was Myron Alfred Mcgrew that had 2 small children on his shoulders. Are they you and your sister? I wasn't aware there were 2 Myrons until I read your message. Then I looked up the older one. Myron Alfred was my grandpa, my dad is Dale and my grandmother was Hazel. I have just recently started researching the family history of the McGrews and Tyrrells. It is very interesting. Any information is very helpful. I printed out the pics you had on here and showed my Dad. I noticed my grandma had a sister Alberta that died as an infant, any idea what happened to her? I have never heard anything about her and my Dad said noone ever talked about it. Thanks, Melissa
btw my email is melissadeems@sbcglobal.net if you want to talk thru there or if you have any other pics to share. Thanks.

Hi I googled my grandfather, Myron Mcgrew and found this site. There are very few pictures that I have seen of him and was stunned to see the pic you put on here. Just wondering if you are related in some way? Anyway thank you for sharing. I'm going to print it out for my dad, Dale Mcgrew. Thanks again and hope to hear back soon. :)

My apologies ... I mixed this Elizabeth Essex up with another. The correct Elizabeth Essex was transferred to me today. (There are too many Elizabeth's out there LOL)

Thank you for your reply

GWW,
You were the original lister for Helen Vanscoy Braden (16956280)and showed her husband as Charles H. Braden. Do you have any information on him? I know he is in my family but I cannot find any thing on him.
Thanks.

I deleted the census info from the memorials and linked the family together. It's not a line I'm researching and that was the closest match I could find to them, unless Jane (Essex) could have been a 2nd spouse?

Carol Adams Rowlands Hays
Wickens, George & Charlotte
I made a photo request in Liberty Hill Cemetery, Washington County, Ohio, for both George Wickens 1780-1868 and his wife Charlotte Elizabeth Rowland Wickens 1792-1870 and their headstones are no longer there or are completely illegible.

The message I received was: "When McKitrick read this cemetery in 1969-70, he noted 'marker not readable', I photographed this entire cemetery, no marker remains today".

Since you maintain these sites, would you kindly make note on both of their memoriams that there is no longer a readable marker in this cemetery for both George an Charlotte.

Note: Charlotte's brother, James, was my husband's 3rd great grandfather.

Thanks,
Carol Adams (Rowlands) Hays

RE: Two Cyrenas
You are correct. The following is your Cyrena.

4. Silvinia/Sylvia2 Rood (Cyrena1 Halstead) was born in (Marietta, Wash. Co. OH) 1819. She married three times. She married David Blancett at Marietta Washington Co OH, November 8, 1838. David was the son of William Blancett and Ann "Nancy" (Putnam) Nash. After David died cir 1845, she then married George Saylor at Marietta Washington Co OH, June 3, 1846. George was born in PA abt 1809. He was married before, wife unknown. George was listed as the head of a family on the 1850 Census at Marietta Washington Co OH. Dwelling house 124 : George Salor 41, farmer, b. PA; Silvy, 39, b. OH; Susan, 12, Harriet 10, Pursas 2, Effie 3/12, Cyrena Blancett, 9 . George Saylor died sometime after 1861. Sylvia then married William Hemmingar (Hemminger) at Marietta Washington Co OH, October 5, 1875.
Sylvia Rood and David Blancett had the following child:

Jeanne
John T Gilmore family
Greetings,
Thank you for the information and links on John's parents. I've added them per your request. You asked me about Rosa May Gilmore...she was born Jan 31 1880 in Ritchie County, WV. I am 99% positive that the she is the Rosa May GILMER listed in 1901 as marrying Daniel Haney. Both Daniel and Rosa are buried at the Mt Olivet Cemetery but since I can not find a death record for Rosa "Rosie" Haney I have not been able to confirm her parents. The marriage record does not list parents names as they were both over 21. As soon as I find my elusive document I'll link the families. Thanks for contacting me. Jeanne

Patricia Ellett Hall
McGrew-Blackburn-Baird Connnection
I'm a direct descendant of James McGrew and Mary Dicks (6 generations removed). I am also a direct descendant of John Blackburn and Rachel Morton (9 generations removed). I know that 3 Blackburn siblings married 3 Baird siblings. Olinthus Gregory Baird married Margaret Jane Blackburn. These would be my great-grandparents. Olinthus's brother, Charles Wiley Baird married Thankful Samantha Blackburn. Their Baird sister, Elizabeth, married Zackery Taylor Blackburn. I can trace the Blackburn family back to Ireland, but I cannot find out much about the Bairds. I am guessing they were Quakers as the Blackburns were. I keep running into connections between the Blackburns and the Bairds. The 1910 census lists their Baird father as being born in Mass., but the 1880 census states his birth was in Penn. I'm so confused! Does anyone know more about the Bairds?
