Isaac Benjamin Smith
Help! You list IBS as the husband of Rebecca Jane Boatwright Smith which I accept. However I have not seen any other record that indicates Isaac had a middle name other than another persons entry in Findagrave. Can you point me to something that corroborates his middle name? My wife is a "Smith" descendant and I"m trying to fill in gaps in her tree. Thanks. Duke Gossage

William F. Heustess
Wilson Stancil #22513358
Wilson Stancil buried at Elizabeth Baptist Church in Mount Croghan, SC is the brother of John S. Stancill rather than his son. Wilson Stancil is the son of Archibald and Anna Catherine Heglar Stansill who do not have memorial pages on Find-a-Grave. Please remove the links which indicate Wilson's parents are John S. Stancil & Mary Susannah Gray. Thanks.

Dewitt F Davis (1971-1956)
Hi Sharon!

First off I'd just like to say THANK YOU for all of your hard work. Very grateful for people like you.
I dabble in genealogy periodically and I have been researching my Dad's family on and off for several years now.
I came across the photo of Dewitt's tombstone on Find A Grave a few years ago.
He was married to my Aunt Jolyn (nee Petercsak) Davis.
Dewitt died as a result from a fight in NJ.
I was surprised to see the photo of him that you posted on 7.10.2016! I have very few photos of my Dad's family so seeing your photo was a treasure. I was wondering how you came in possession of this?
I am assuming you are a relative.
Wondering if you have any more photos and also wondering what the back of the photo has written on it. I can make out his name and it looks like the date is 1935 but it is very light and difficult for me to read.
Thank you so much!
Susan

Peggy Cunningham
Cousin from Charleston, SC
Sharon,

My name is Peggy White Cunningham, daughter of John Henry White, dob 1918. If I have things straight in my head, my grandfather William Henry "Boss" White and my Uncle Thurman (Thurman E. White), were brothers. I have such fond memories of your mother, Bobbie. When we traveled to Chesterfield for the family reunions, she would always welcome us into her home. I can remember all of us standing in her kitchen while she helped us warm up our food that we brought for the luncheon. I also remember visiting my aunts and uncles who lived on Scotch Road. I get a warm and fuzzy feeling when I think back of the visits with those kind aunts and uncles. My father thought the world of your mother and all of his Chesterfield relatives. Please tell your mother hello for me. Thanks.

Peggy

I believe this tombstone is for my 1st cousin 2xremoved. If it is he was born 10 Feb 1859 and died 17 Nov 1926. According to his death certificate, he is buried at Old Gunn(Prince Frederick)

I have a picture of him and his death certificate.

RE: Re: Edit for Calvin Rollings
Sharon,

Thank you for the work you do for Find a Grave.
Calvin's entry helped me find him. His grand daughter, Myrtle Rollins, is my aunt.

The Rollins name is correct, however I have found it misspelled on other documents with "Rollings, Rallings, and Rallins.

Would you please put a note on his file explaining
the misspelling?

Thanks again,
Bill Hopper

RE: Lewis Cruger Hasell at All Saints Waccamaw
I have no idea who requested the merge. Just because the deleted one refers back to my memorial for him doesn't mean I requested the merge, or at least I don't think so. It could have been Patti who requested it. Wish I could help you, but I don't have the answers and I have far to many memorial to remember as a specific one. Sorry, Let me know if you ever find out.

RE: Lewis Cruger Hasell at All Saints Waccamaw
Sharon, I don't think you have to own a memorial to merge it. I have no idea who merged these two. You can write Find A Grave and maybe they have a record of who requested the merger. I don't think I would have done it, especially since you say the one in Georgetown had a headstone. That would have qualified as a cenotaph and thus should have remained. I wish I could tell you more, but I don't remember every asking for a merger, in fact I don't believe I've ever asked for more than a couple of mergers in all the years I've been with Find A Grave.

Sharon, I have no idea what you're talking about. I never asked Find A Grave to merge a memorial for Lewis Hasell. Did I email you? Let me know.
