Mary wife of Samuel A Spencer
My notes have her as Mary BLUE. Daughter of Thomas Blue and Alice Loftus.

Her husband, Samuel A Spencer, was my great grandmother's brother. He was the second baby in the family to be named Samuel Allen Spencer. The firstborn Samuel had died after the second, James, was born. Rachael Allen Spencer named her third son after her father, Samuel Allen, too. Her daughter, Mary Ann Spencer Kelso, named one of her sons Samuel, in the next generation. That uncle of my mother, Samuel Kelso, died in 1898, in Montgomery County, Kansas, leaving a less than one year old daughter, Lenore.

Jean Jorgensen
Longbranch Cemetery
I have been to the Longbranch Cemetery, near Humboldt, NE, and have photographed anything that looked like a gravestone. There are very few left. I am not sure where the stones have disappeared to but the ones that are left are shown on the Longbranch Cemetery list of graves. It is sad that Wm. Simpkins Furrow and his wife, Elizabeth, do not have gravestones to mark their dedication and leadership with the Longbranch Seventh Day Baptist Church.

Please remove your requests from the Cemetery.

RE: New Cumberland Cemetery
Melissa, were any of Moses Gregory's (memorial #97246485) family members part of your original photo requests in the New Cumberland Cemetery? I did go back to the cemetery and took a better photo of the front of the family headstone. The new photo has been posted on the family members' memorials.

You are very welcome Melissa! Glad I could help. Sorry the very old stones/markers are hard to read. If I get a chance to retake them in different/better lighting, I will be sure to contact you.

RE: Thank you
You are very welcome. I did notice that a base has been poured for a headstone the day after my photos. I will watch for the headstone and take a picture of it for you. Dannetta

Your Welcome
I was glad to help you with Ruby August. I saw where you were also looking for Lloyd August. We did not see his marker, but I believe there was a large Family marker. When we go back I will try to find Lloyd August's marker. I noticed that you have some Babcock family members. So do I. Rachel Babcock 1825-1904 married a Willis Miles Ward and a James P. Babcock died 11 May 1879 was married to Mary Elizabeth Rose. Joanne

You're welcome. There is one more Rainbolt in that cemetery - John Earl Rainbolt. Any relationship? Winfield Scott is a famous name, I'm sure you knew. Best - cb

RE: Thanks
You are very welcome and glad to help. Also glad that I found Doris for you. I had that happen before that the person wasn't listed in the cemetery book but I stopped at the Milton House to make sure that Doris was buried in the Milton Cemetery.
