RE: N/A Sill-Royal Palm South
The plain Sill memorial page is the one that you used to request a photo for. It gets a little awkward when you try and put in more then one edit for several names on one memorial page - thus I added the pages for Andrew and Jane. If you would like me to transfer them to you, I'd be more then happy to do that. Next time we're at Royal Palm, I'll take some more photos of the Sill stone and the area surrounding it.

Hi Grace, Your "Sill" family tree has been a learning experience for us. I saw where Oaklawn was in Hillsborough County....not Pinellas. (Also, in doing other research, St. Petersburg and Gulfport were listed as Hillsborough County...which should have been Pinellas County.) We never knew that Pinellas County, and many other counties, were a part of Hillsborough County in the early 1900's. That was a surprise - but sure did answer some questions. I put up memorial pages for Andrew, and Jane. I'll add one for Blin (who I am sure is the Glen that Sharon mentioned) - but I may do that through the memorial page that Lisa V. has up on the plain "Sill" memorial page. (She can be slow as doing edits though.) Do you know when Blin died?
It's been a lot of fun working with the Sill family tree....happy to be of help.

RE: N/A Sill-Royal Palm South
Hi Grace - Here's an up-date on the Sills. I just got a call from Sharon as I had asked her to see if there were death dates on Andrew, Jane and "Glen." She said that she had no death dates...BUT in 1926 Emma Sill Ford had bought the property when Andrew, Jane and "Glen" were moved from Oaklawn Cemetery. The funeral home that was in charge was J.W. Wilhelm. (I doubt they are in business anymore.)
I'm not sure about Oaklawn Cemtery. I do remember hearing that there was a cemetery in St. Petersburg that was closed because the Interestate was being put in. Whether this was Oaklawn Cemetery or not, I"m not sure. I'll do a little "digging" on that.
This sure has been interesting. If I find anymore information, I'll gladly pass it on to you.

Hello once again, I do believe that the "Glen" is really Blin. I think that whomever did the burial card, didn't quite understand the name and put down Glen. I called Sharon and asked her to see if the death dates were there for Andrew, Jane and "Glen." She'll call back later on. I'm 99.9% sure they are the family members that you were interested in. As soon as I know - for sure - I'll post memorial pages and let you know. Having fun doing this interesting search for you.

Hi Grace, We were back at Royal Palm Cem. this morning and asked Sharon (the sweet office lady) about the Sill grave site. She checked and said that there are 3 Sill's buried there. They being Jane, Andrew and Glen. I don't have the death dates on them, but I can check on Ancestry to find out.
I'll put up memorial pages for them, and transfer that to you, if you'd like. Do their names fit in with your Ancestry tree?
Have a wonderful Easter.

Hi Grace,
Next time we "visit" Royal Palm, we'll ask Sharon (the office lady) if she has any more information about the Sill marker. Seems strange that there is nothing except the last name at the grave site. We'll see. Glad to be able to help you out...we love doing this. Have a great weekend.

Hello once again, We were at Royal Palm this morning and Doug found the Sill marker. I will be posting it shortly. It was located near the office - quite a distance from the Widere/Adams grave sites. There was no other information on the marker except Sill...and no other Sills nearby. I'm not sure if the office would have any further information on what Sill is buried there. (We can check, if you would like.)

RE: N/A Sill-Royal Palm South
When the canvassing was done (at Royal Palm), each name was written down and Lisa Vivirito put them in the listing....so, we're really thinking that somewhere at Royal Palm is a marker for Sill. It's most likely an upright marker, but has no dates or further names on it. Also, there's a chance that if there were small (Sill)grave markers, they could have been covered over with time. (That happens frequently.)
If - and when - we do find the Sill marker, we'll see what happens.
Happy that we were able to take the photos for you. If there's any other's that pop up, please just ask.

Hi Grace, We were at Royal Palm this morning and checked around the graves of the Adam's and Widere's for Emma Sill Ford's resting place. Happy to say that we found her - right beside Jennie Widere's grave. I photographed her grave site and will be posting the pictures on her memorial page later on today. Didn't see the N/A Sill grave site though - we'll keep looking.
Have a great day!

Hello Grace, We will happily check around the graves of the Widere's and Adams' to see if we can locate Emma's grave. We'll be going back to Royal Palm at some time this week. Always nice to be able to help 'friends' that we've helped in the past.

N/A Sill/Royal Palm.
Hi Maretta, I am doing some up-dating of photo requests and saw where you posted a request for a N/A Sills at Royal Palm Cem. Is there a certain person you are looking for? Maybe related to Widere's or the Adams that we photographed last week? We'll be happy to see what we can find...but any other information would be helpful.

RE: Adams & Widere Photos
Hello Marretta, You are very welcome. Glad we were able to do that for you. If you look at the background photo on Frank Widere's memorial page, the dark tree in the middle is where the Adam's graves are. They are relatively nearby each other.
If you would like any additional photos, please don't hesitate to ask.

This is to let you know that there is a very good photographer who goes to Green-Wood Cemetery daily, whenever the weather permits.
I asked for one picture for Mary Lord, but then I ran out of picture requests for the week.
I suggest you make some more picture requests ASAP, so Bob will take the pictures you want all at once.

Martin VB White parents
Hi ... Martin Van Buren White was my great-grandfather on my maternal side. I am trying to research my ancestry for DAR and I have been searching for over a year and have yet to find any proof of Martin's parents. Yes, every family tree lists George White Jr & Nancy White but no proof. DAR will not accept census as proof of parentage. I also need proof that 'old' George is Jr's father and that he and Jr's mother were married. I have found 3 marriage bonds for old George but not for Ama/Alma/Emma/Ana/Anna ... although I have found marriage bonds for a Luda/Lydia on 23 May 1794.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hello Marreta: At this moment, I'm not sure which Adams correction you are writing about. I'm related to the Adams buried in Loma Vista, and the majority of my information comes from family records, and official records of the State of Texas.

My great grandfather was born in 1888. See census for 1900 and 1910. His brother Warren R Midgett was born in 1887. Found this information after talking to my mother Minnie Farrow. My great grandfather mis-stated his age to get into the US Military.

Hi,

It's possible that the middle initial is M., and could be a transcript error. If you haven't already, I would suggest contacting the cemetery office. Please let me know if you would like a transfer.
