James Myers
Hello, Thank you for your time in taking photos of Headstones. I received the notice for James Myers And Clarence Myers. But on James Myers there was only a photo of the Cemetery sign. Did he not have a headstone? Again, Thank you and I for one really appreciate your time in doing this. Julie

Oh, Dave! I'm sticking my tongue out at you! It's rainy and foggy here and although my phone says it's 65 degrees outside, it sure doesn't feel like it! Tomorrow night we'll be at 32 and Monday night a balmy 30 degrees (that's bathing suit weather in northern Michigan!).

Good to know you've got beautiful weather and are enjoying it. 70's sounds perfect!

Happy Easter!

Thanks for getting back with me, Dave. I appreciate it.

Hope you're having a warmer spring than we are. Just snowed the other day and still a bit chilly outside.

Dave -

The ancestry member contacted me with add'l information. He is a descendant of the Collins family and published a book on the family line. He also has documentation to show the line as Elias and Sarah and their son James.

Thought I would pass this on to you, but I did see where you changed James' father's name from John to Elias.

Thank you again -

James Wesley Collins
Find A Grave Memorial# 63440293

Dave -

Someone contacted me on Ancestry and indicated that the parents of James Wesley Collins was an Elias Collins and Sarah Coppley. Elias and Sarah married on 5 Jul 1832 in Shelby County, Indiana (I found their marriage record on familysearch).

Your posting for James' findagrave indicated he was married to Nancy Ann Cherry first and second to Mary Jane Walling. James and Mary Jane had a daughter Annie who married Quince Linn (aka Lynn) which is my connection to him - through the Linn line. However, James may have married 1st to Nancy Ann Cherry.

We have James' parents as John and Sarah Collins from your posting of James' findagrave memorial. Different from what the member gave me.

Do you know for sure that his father was John and not Elias? I found a couple of James W. Collins in Tennessee during the time James was alive.

A father named Elias would make sense given you indicated James' birthplace as Shelby County, Indiana and that's where Elias Collins and Sarah Coppley married in 1832.

I don't know James' family line and would appreciate any help you can give me on this. Also, if you know of any records that verifies the info, I would appreciate that, too.

Thanks -

Charles Robinson of Indianapolis
Thanks DSON!

Yes my Charles Robinson was married to Margaret Rachel Carroll Robinson and had at least 3 children including Harriettte May Robinson. They lived in Indianapolis and it looks very unlikely he is Charles Munroe Robinson.
