information
I did some digging today. I believe that EW was placed in foster care very young and/or an orphanage. I don't know the story yet. I did find a will he had drawn up when he was 21. I was VERY touched to find that in the event of his death he wanted $1,000 dollars donated to an orphanage in Montgomery Alabama. I also found that he lived in a boarding home in Tuscaloosa as a young man. My great great grand father sounds like a really good man dare I say a "great".

I also hit a brick wall. My father tells me that one of EW's daughters daughter may and probably has a lot more info apparently they are into genealogy as well. They have a family reunion usually during the early summer months and we are gonna go this year having just moved back to Pickens County. If I get anything sooner I will let you know. I hate brick walls too.

Hello,
Yes Lela was my great grandmother. My grandfather was william davis "red" foley. I have been asking my relatives how she died at such a young age and all they will say is she worked herself to death.

Wayne, do you know where Thomas and/ or Ollie Blow Hendon are buried? Perhaps in the same cemetery where Thomas' second wife is?

Concerning Annie Hendon, # 13945981, I was wondering if you know if she was ever married to a James Sewall? I have a Georgia Ann Oliver Sewall on my mother's side of the family and I was wondering if this was perhaps the same person? Thank you.

Henry Welch FAG Memorial
Mr Hendon,

I have posted an article I found in a 1913 Houston Post Newspaper regarding the death of Henry Welch. Thought it would be an interesting edition to his memorial.

He is the Grandfather of my Great Aunt.

Malinda Colley Kesterson
The U. S. and International Marriage Records has George Kesterson born 1793 and Malinda Colley born 1794? The Graves County Cemetery Book Volume 2 lists "Matilda" Kesterson as born May 9, 1808. Census records show her as Malinda. Do you have information as to the 1808 date?

You are so generous to share your research. The news about Hattie Kimble helped me track Gilbert Hendon a little further in life. I hope what I sent you will help you for a change. Blessings go out to you, E. W.

Malinda Summerhill Hendon
Thank you so very much for linking Malinda's memorial to the memorial of her father Jackson Summerhill. The memorial was very recently established. Do you have any idea what happened to Malinda's last two children--Gilbert W. Hendon and Clara B. Hendon White?

Thomas O Hendon
Thomas O Hendon married Olivia "Ollie" Blow in Carroll County Mississippi. They had two sons,

1. Norris Hendon June 25 1897 Mississippi and died 1971 in Louisiana. He is buried in Mississippi Find A Grave # 131729889
2. Thomas Reed Hendon Sept. 19, 1899 MS and died in Kentucky. Find A Grave # 93829134

Ollie Blow Hendon died after 1900 and before 1903 at which time her husband remarried Malinda ?.'

1900 and 1910 Hendons were living in Carroll county miss. I have looked EVERYWHERE trying to find Ollie Blow Hendon's headstone...with no luck. No luck of husband either. Are they floating aroun in your tree somewhere??

Thanks Ann Skipper Boykin

Hi, back again after hitting a brick wall for Missouri. Saw on William David Hendon's memorial that Fannie Strickland was Missouri's mother. Any info on the Strickland line? Can't find much on Fannie. On another topic, is your book still available?

Hi. I entered a memorial for Harry Lesley White today. His mother was Lorena Hendon. I see you have her memorial so I thought you might want his as well. If not, send him back. If I have any of her other children, let me know and I can transfer them as well or at least link them. Thanks, Kerry
