RE: lige
She's not Lottie Lucy Abramski. She is the daughter of Lige and Veronica (Buckner) Abramski. But are you saying that she could have been living with her aunt and uncle? It's very possible that she may have been named for her Uncle Lige. I just don't know the whole story there.

You are very welcome. It's like a puzzle, trying to put it all together. I like to see the family all together in the end.

RE: Margarite Pavlock
You mentioned on Margarete's memorial page bio that she had a brother named Steven. Did her son, James, ever mention that his mother also had sisters named Viola (born abt 1909) and Ligie (born abt 1912)? I am curious as to what happened to them? They are listed on the 1910 and 1920 census records with the family.

Ok, I had her in my tree as Maggie Pavlock. Yes, I would accept a transfer of her and her husband's memorial pages.

My contributor number is #47180879.

Thank you for contacting me and transferring their memorials.

Oh my goodness.
We lived on Arabella St (actually Long Beach) located NE of South St and Downey Ave. Behind FedMart before it became Target (not sure what store is there now, maybe still a Target).
My brothers and I went to Capt Raymond COLLINS Elementary, Alondra Jr Hi and Paramount Sr High.
I graduated in '67, then I graduated from Compton College in '69 and on to Biola College where I met my husband.

I graduated from Paramount HS and my husband graduated from LB Jordan.
We saw Simon and Garfunkel at the old Municipal Auditorium before it was torn down the night we became engaged.
When I was in high school I had to promise my mom I would not ride the Cyclone Racer at the Pike. I complied with her wishes but did wish a few times I had disobeyed as it was such an icon.
There are four generations of my family buried at the old Long Beach Sunnyside Cemetery on Willow and Orange. Three brothers, my adopted parents, one Deriso grandmother and one Holliday great-grandmother. My birth parents are buried up in Chatsworth as we lived in the San Fernando Valley at the time they died.
Nice to chit-chat with someone from the "hood."
Good luck as you continue to research your family and have a great November 24th birthday.
Karen

RE: personal communication
Sooo there is no actual connection between our families other than the fact we are both from the Long Beach/Bellflower area.
My Holliday connection is by adoption. My birth parents died when I was 10-years old. My mother's sister and brother-in-law, Margaret (Deriso) and Ernest Holliday adopted my three younger brothers and me ... and life went on.
It's complicated I know.
My adopted mom started researching her (mine lines too), Deriso, Puckett and Thigpen lines when I was still in school. The entire family line comes from South Carolina and Georgia.
She also researched my adopted dad's Holliday line who primarily came from Oklahoma to California in the 1920s.
I remember attending a Holliday family reunion held at Bixby Park in Long Beach in the early 60s.

First of all Gwen, I have been a genealogist for many years also. What FACTS I find and EDIT to Find A Grave is through helping others. The information I added is TRUE FACTS... Through joining Find A Grave I have NEVER had anyone talk to me like this... Your implication of piracy is very offensive to me. If you didn't like what I have added, all you had to do was ask me and I would delete my FACTUAL INFORMATION....that was okayed through my edit from Find A Grave...

Pay it Forward,
Gayle Noreen Walker

Gwen,
I will be happy to delete my memorial, however, he is in fact at Sierra Hills Memorial Park in Section B (which is also called East Lawn Sierra Hills which unfortunately often causes some confusion). I've been photographing Sierra Hills Memorial Park for the last 6 months. You might want to call Sierra Hills Memorial Park at 916-732-2020 and ask if they can confirm your information. All the best to you.
