Hi Gary,

I just noticed your name on a memorial. Hope you are doing well. Remembering our days of working on the Hatch line together.

I looked around a little bit and didn't see another stone for them. I can look again, but may not be up there for a couple weeks.

Re Phebe Brazelton #15435948
You have this Phebe (mar. Spurgin) linked to her father, John Brazelton (Find A Grave #18160738 by "SierraBravo").

I found that there is a 2nd memorial for her father, John Brazelton (Find A Grave #53643325 (by "Art") created three years after the first.

I've seen some memorials that have a duplicate parent or child's name (pointing to duplicate memorials) and actually tried to submit a link request on your Phebe's memorial to her dad's 2nd memorial, but was not permitted. I don't know if you want to try it or not. I'm going to write to Art and see if he wants to contact SierraBravo and blend information and delete his.

RE: Frederick George Griesmyer
FYI Frederick Griesmyer is buried in Sect. 24 next to Agnes Sheedy Griesmyer, who I think was his first wife. I've sent an edit to the owners of that memorial to link them. No disrespect to your cousin; I would assume that he probably purchased two adjoining plots when Agnes died, and for whatever reason, it was decided to inter him there at St. Agnes. They are in the row along the fence facing South Ave, and are easy to find if you know where to look. Just in case you want to add the info to your notes Regards, MK

RE: Robert Lee Davis
You're welcome!

Robert Lee Davis is located at Gate 10, Mausoleum of the Valley, in the Morningside Columbarium, Serenity wall. It is a fairly small room with maybe space for three people to stand comfortably. He is in a cremation niche a little more than half way up the wall.

Sorry, I did not photograph the area as it's one of two columbariums in a very long building. If you would like, I can take a photo of the outside the next time I am there. Just let me know.

RE: Erastus Perry Chapman 1874-1953
I did some searching and found Bertha Chapman at Evergreen Cemetery in Los Angeles. I've created a memorial for her and I've transferred her to you. If you put in a photo request for her, I'll get the photo for you. Evergreen is another one of my cemeteries.

Thank you for your kind words. I try to take photos of ones that I would want for myself, not just a headstone close up. You may use the headstone photos any way you would like. Enjoy

James E. Bird, Jr.
Hi Gary,
I didn't want you to think I had forgotten about you and my promise to take James E. Bird, Jr's, headstone photo. I was able to get to it today, and have added his headstone photo to his memorial. I am sorry it took so long, we have had a lot of rain here.

Take care,

I got the pics per your request for the Ladeen's.
Sorry it took me so long. :-]
Look any better?
I cleaned up the stones so they don't look like crap.
That Ernie has added over 10,000 pictures to Find A Grave. Some people don't know how to take pictures but they do it anyway and just keep right on doing it!! Go figure 'eh?

RE: John J Hines and daughter, Ella (Hines) Squires Headstone
Dear Gary,
You're welcome; I'm sorry I couldn't find their stones. As you probably already know, there is a J.M. Hines and Mrs. B.M. Hines located right next to where John should be. They already have photos. Ella (listed as C. [Ella] A. Squires in record) is just a few spots away, and right next to where her stone should be is Clarence Squires with a big nice stone.
Also, in another section of the cemetery (plot 6-1-72) is a Joseph Hines d. 21 Aug 2006. I don't know if he's any relation. There's no memorial for him on Find-a-Grave.
Yours, Sandy

Ooops! Sorry, I meant to type that James E. Bird was interred here at the age of 52, not 47!

Hi Gary,
Ok, I can conclusively declare that Edna does not have an existing marker. I combed Section G, Block 27 today, there is maybe 20 graves in this section, as per my cemetery records, which I obtained from the Evergreen Memorial Historical Society. There are a few obvious headstone gaps in the rows, and two monuments that have been broken off from the bottom. I took an area photo which I will upload to her page.

Regarding James Bird, I know exactly the section he is buried in, its right across the street from Edna, in Section R, I will get to that hopefully tomorrow. According to cemetery records, he was interred here on May 26, 1947, at the age of 47. His middle initial is listed as 'E.'. No other information is listed, such as mortuary or place, city of death.

We are expecting 'torrential rains' here in So. Cal., which could probably mean we might get a whole inch. I will prepare for the flooding, lol..

I will be in touch soon!

Bird requests
Hi Gary,
You are most welcome.
I am still trying to find Edna Birds marker. I don't know if this is any help, but there is a James Bird also buried here, he was born in 1895.

I will be heading out again today before the rain comes to look for Edna.
