|Bobbie Scott||Memorials #177748324 & #177748291|
These are the Memorials to two "Baby Scott" markers in Nevill's Chapel Cemmetery. My husband's grandparents were the parents for these two babies. One of them had a name..Leonard Rufus Scott, born abt 1910 in Mt Pleasant, Tx.
I would like for that name to be attached to one of the Baby Scott memorials. Does not matter which one and then I could attach the parents to him thru edit.
Is this doable for you? I am not real familiar with how this would work. A note could be added that it comes from family history. My in-laws are the ones who set out the markers for the babies.
Thank you for any help,

I forgot to mention that the headstone photo of Grace that you entered is on the memorial that is to be deleted. Do you want to add it to the original one that I posted in 2007?

|Linda Leake Amerson||Grace Gertrude Sellers Landrum|
I got your edit request in an email for Grace saying the entry was a duplicate.
It was, so I transferred her memorial back to Howard Cobb so he could delete it. I couldn't do it as I was just managing the memorial and he was the original contributor.
I have sent him a correction suggestion and explained it to him.
I also changed her name from
Grace Gertrude Sellers MAY LANDRUM
Grace Gertrude Sellers May LANDRUM
which changes the way it shows up in the search engine. It had looked like her married name was
MAY LANDRUM but now shows her married name to just be Landrum.
I learned something from this..if there's more than one spouse you have to put the first spouse in the woman's maiden name section rather than in the married name section.....then it will show up on search engine right.....Thanks for the heads up.

I found this article about the Sheriff's death. You may post if you wish.
Article appears in the Abilene Daily Reflector, Abilene, Kansas, Tuesday, 28 May 1889 reads...
A SHERIFF KILLED
Denison, Texas, May 28 - Robert May, Sheriff of this (Grayson) county, was shot and instantly killed at nine o'clock Sunday morning near Howe by Ben Isom. Howe is in Grayson County, on the Houston & Texas Central Railroad. It is twenty miles south of Denison. Saturday Ben Isom and John Isom, his brother, stopped in Sherman. They states that he had recently came from Kentucky. After remaining in Sherman all evening, they purchased two Winchester rifles and departed for Howe,m where they drank whisky freely.
At an early hour Sunday they started out to run the town, The city marshal attempted to arrest them but was unable to do so. He called a number of citizens of the place to his aid, the posse pressed the Isoms so. hard that they retreated to the woods just outside the corporation. Deeming it inadvisable to attack, the marshal telegraphed to Sheriff May. He went to Howe in company with Deputy Sheriff Creager. While the two officers were engaged in hunting for the desperadoes they opened fire, the bullet fired by Ben Isom striking Sheriff May in the temple, killing. him instantly. Deputy Sheriff Creager returned to Howe and reported the killing.
The entire population of the place turned out and in a short time succeeded in surrounding John Isom and tow other young men named Eden and Hanna, who are his cousins. The news of the tragedy was telegraphed to Sherman and it caused intense excitement. Large parties of men rode upon horseback and in vehicles to Howe, which is distant ten miles. Before their arrival John Isom and Eden and Hanna surrendered and were taken to Sherman up on a special train and locked up in the county jail. So quietly were they brought into Sherman that they were behind the bars before the people of the city were aware of their arrest.
Bloodhounds were brought from Bonham and Ben Isom was tracked to a wheat field near the scene of the killing and captured. He was taken to Sherman and locked up with the others. There was intense excitement in Sherman and talk of lynching the desperadoes was freely indulged in. Sheriff May was thirty five years of age. He was married and was highly esteemed by all who knew him.

I was able to find Mrs. Orsborn's obituary. It gives you her place of birth, etc, and would make a very nice Bio.
Maria Teresa Orsborn, 42, of Plano Texas, passed away Tuesday evening, December 8, at home with her family. She was born on December 28, 1972, in Tlaxmalac, Guerrero, in Mexico to Eugenio and Eufemia Taboada. Teresa came to the USA in 1996 to visit her brother, Guillermo, and met her future husband, Gary Orsborn at a party. After a short dating period, they married on June 22, 1996 and lived in the lower Greenville area of Dallas Texas for four years. During that time they founded and operated a landscape company. Teresa became a US citizen in 2002. Planning for a family, they moved into a house in Plano Texas in 2000. Mathew was born in 2001 and Valerie in 2004. Teresa was active in the children’s schools and sports and her charming personality attracted a large circle of friends. In 2012 she graduated from Collin County Community College with an Associate Degree of Science on the first leg of her quest to become a nurse. In 2013 she took a break from school to work at a Wal-Mart regional pharmacy center where she widened her already substantial circle of friends. Family, friends, and soccer were Teresa’s major passions. She was also an awesome cook and crocheted and knitted many beautiful doilies, table clothes, sweaters, etc. She is survived by husband Gary and children Matthew 14, and Valerie 11. She also leaves behind many loving relatives and friends. Burial Service – Family Sat. 12/12/15 at 11:30 AM Plano Mutual Cemetery NE Corner 18th St. and Jupiter Rd. Plano, TX 75074

I am Dorothy Newberry....Charles George Burns is my maternal great grandfather. Do you have any information on who his father is? I THINK his father is Equilla Burns who died in 1858 in Fannin County Texas. I am quite sure his sister was Martha Jane Burns who also lived in Fannin County and later married James Wesley Hays....she is buried in the cemetery in Crowell Texas...Her children used to correspond with my maternal grandmother, Mary Burns Chapman who was the daughter of Charles George Burns.
